In an oil passage structure for a power transmission device including a case provided to accommodate a power transmission device, a baffle plate attached to an inner wall of the case, and an oil pump, the oil passage structure includes a supply oil passage through which oil is pumped from the oil pump to an oil supply destination via the baffle plate. The baffle plate has a structure in which two members of a plate body and a plate-shaped auxiliary member are superposed and integrated with each other. The baffle plate is provided with a plate oil passage that constitutes a portion of the supply oil passage and passes through the inside of the baffle plate. The plate oil passage is formed by a recess provided in at least one of a surface of the plate body and a surface of the auxiliary member which face to each other such that the auxiliary member is interposed on the plate body.

Oil passage structure for power transmission device

A boot seal for variable compression-rate engine includes a boot-seal element, and a reinforcement member. The boot-seal element includes an inner layer, and an outer layer. The inner layer is disposed on the inner face of the boot-seal element, and is composed of a fluorinated rubber. The outer layer is disposed on a more outer side of the boot-seal element than is the inner layer. Moreover, the boot-seal element is formed in a circumferentially developed state so as to have circumferential ends, and is then completed by joining the circumferential ends with each other. Thus, the boot-seal element makes an elastically deformable cylindrical bellows shape having a root that dents inward diametrically. In addition, the reinforcement member is disposed in the root of the cylindrical bellows-shaped boot-seal element at least.

Boot seal for variable compression-rate engine

A fastening member is integrated with a boot body, at least one of a fastening leading end portion or a fastening tail end portion expands or reduces the diameter by elastic deformation, and when the fastening leading end portion or the fastening tail end portion expands the diameter, the fastening member forms the shape of a trumpet. Since the fastening member is integrated with the boot body, a cylindrical small-diameter portion can be readily built in the other part. Since the fastening member forms the shape of the trumpet when the fastening leading end portion or the fastening tail end portion expands the diameter, at least one of the fastening leading end portion and the fastening tail end portion expands or reduces the diameter in the circumferential direction uniformly, and the contact pressure by which the cylindrical small-diameter portion comes into pressure contact with the other part becomes uniform in the circumferential direction, so that the cylindrical small-diameter portion can be stably built in the other part.

Boot

A boot includes a major-diameter fastener, a first bellows, a second bellows, a minor-diameter-side bellows, and a minor-diameter fastener. The major-diameter fastener is to be fastened to a mating major-diameter member. The first bellows is disposed continuously from the major-diameter fastener. The second bellows is disposed continuously from the first bellows. The minor-diameter-side bellows is disposed continuously from the second bellows. The minor-diameter fastener is disposed continuously from the minor-diameter-side bellows, and is to be fastened to a mating minor-diameter member. The first bellows exhibits an averaged first axial rigidity. The second bellows exhibits an averaged second axial rigidity. The minor-diameter-side bellows exhibits an averaged third axial rigidity. The averaged first axial rigidity and the averaged third axial rigidity are lower than the averaged second axial rigidity.

Steering rack boot

A boot is made of a resin for covering a ball joint interposed between a larger diameter mating member and a small diameter mating member, including a large diameter attachment portion fixed to the large diameter mating member, a first bellows portion continuous to the large diameter attachment portion, a second bellows portion which is continuous to the first bellows portion and in which at least a bottom inner peripheral diameter thereof is not larger than that of the first bellows portion and a rigidity in a radial direction thereof is lower than that of the first bellows portion, a taper bellows portion continuous to the second bellows portion, and a small diameter attachment portion continuous to the taper bellows portion and fixed to the small diameter mating member.
