A vehicle door including: an upright pillar sash extending in elevating/lowering directions of the window glass along one of front and rear edges of window glass; and an elevating/lowering mechanism that operates elevating/lowering movement of the window glass by a driving force of a drive source. The upright pillar sash includes: a design part on a vehicle exterior side; and a main body on vehicle interior side relative to the design part, the elevating/lowering mechanism includes: a slider secured to the glass; a guide rail that guides the slider to move in the elevating/lowering directions; and a transmission member that transmits the driving force from the drive source to the slider, the main body of the upright pillar sash houses the slider, guide rail, and transmission member, and the guide rail regulates movement of the slider in both vehicle interior/exterior directions, on a vehicle interior surface side of the glass.

Vehicle door sash structure

A vehicle door window glass support structure includes: a sash part protruding upward with respect to the door panel; and window glass that is elevated or lowered along the sash part, in which the sash part includes a glass position regulating means that determines the position of the window glass in both vehicle interior and exterior directions and an intersecting direction that intersects the vehicle interior and exterior directions at least at a position where the window glass is elevated most. This configuration makes it possible to improve the position accuracy of the window glass with respect to the sash part, enhancing the appearance quality and the support performance of the window glass.

Vehicle door window glass support structure

A vehicle door glass elevating/lowering device performs elevating/lowering operation of window glass by a driving force of a drive source along a sash member along one of front and rear edges of the window glass in a door sash forming a window opening. The glass elevating/lowering device includes: a guide rail on the sash member; a slider having a glass support secured to the glass and a sliding part guided movably in the elevating/lowering directions with respect to the guide rail; and a transmission member that transmits the driving force of the drive source, in which a first sliding part regulated in position by the guide rail in at least one direction of the vehicle front-rear directions and a second sliding part regulated in position by the guide rail in at least the other direction of the vehicle front-rear directions are provided at mutually different positions in the elevating/lowering directions.

A belt molding that achieves a reduced separating/contacting noise includes a protrusion formed on an outer surface of a side portion, which is opposed to a glass, of a molding main body, a seal lip that is formed below the protrusion on the outer surface of the side portion, which is opposed to the glass, of the molding main body and is configured to be in contact with the glass, which rises and lowers, and is capable of being in contact with the protrusion when the glass is fully-closed. A skin is disposed on at least one of contacting portions among a seal lip contacting portion of the protrusion that contacts the seal lip and a protrusion contacting portion of the seal lip that contacts the protrusion. The skin is made of a harder material than a material of the protrusion or the seal lip that include the skin.

Belt molding

A belt molding includes: a molding body, which includes an inner wall, an outer wall, and a connection wall that connects an upper end of the inner wall and an upper end of the outer wall; a design lip, which is formed at the upper end of the inner wall of the molding body; and a design portion, wherein the design portion includes a first portion, which covers at least a part of the molding body, and a second portion, which covers at least a part of the design lip, and wherein a step is formed between the first portion and the second portion, such that a level of a surface of the first portion is different from a level of a surface of the second portion.

A door frame and a frame body including a glass opposing portion, a design portion positioned on one side of the glass opposing portion on the vehicle exterior side, a tubular portion positioned on the other side of the glass opposing portion on the vehicle interior side, and a glass guide portion having a concave cross section surrounding the edge of the door glass. All portions are collectively structured as a single member who is continuous and uniform from the upper sash portion to the side sash portion. A corner portion is created by a bending process at a boundary between the upper sash portion and the side sash portion. The width of the design portion of the frame varies in at least one area along the length thereof and the design portion of the frame body is covered with an exterior member.

Method of producing vehicle door frame

The belt molding body includes a vehicle exterior-side portion which faces a pillar and an upper edge of an outer panel from the vehicle exterior side; a vehicle interior-side portion, an entire end face of the vehicle interior-side portion being positioned between a pair of pillars as a receded end face; and an engaged portion formed on an inner surface of the belt molding body. The end cap includes a covering end which covers an end face of the vehicle exterior-side portion, an insertion portion extending from the covering end to a position in front of the receded end face, and an engaging portion formed on a vehicle exterior-side surface of the insertion portion and engaged with the engaged portion to prevent the end cap from moving toward the vehicle interior.

Belt molding for vehicle door

A molding for a vehicle eliminates the need for equipment and reduces assembly time. An end cap has an end cap main unit inserted into the inner space from an opening in a molding main unit end surface, a catch portion (engaging portion) to engage and disengage from a molding main unit curved portion (engaged portion). The base end portion is rotatably installed in the end cap main unit and the rotating end portion side is inserted into the inner space from the opening in the molding main unit end surface. An end cap movable portion on which a second protrusion is formed contacts a first protrusion in the molding main unit to prevent movement in the direction removing the end cap from the opening in the molding main unit by making contact with the first protrusion when the catch portion has engaged the curved portion.
