A stocker for information recording media is capable of stocking the information recording media and is to be loaded in a changer or unloaded from it. The stocker comprises a trace record device for providing a trace of lodging or dislodging operation of at least one information recording medium when the above-mentioned operation is carried out in an off-line condition.

A disc changer has at least one slot in which any one of different kinds of disc magazines can be stored. The disc changer includes a first device for identifying a type and an identification number of the disc magazine, a second device for detecting existence of a disc in the disc magazine, a third device for reading information recorded on the disc, which is stored in the magazine and a fourth device for storing a data table, which includes the information on the type and the identification number of the disc magazine and on the existence of the disc in the disc magazine.

Disc changer

A disc carrier is provided for carrying a disc between a magazine and a disc player. The disc carrier has a rotating device and a chuck member provided on the rotating device. A direction of the chuck member can be changed to the magazine or the disc player.

Automatic disc changer for an information recording or reproducing system

A supporting device is provided for supporting disc stockers in a case of a disc changer. Each of the disc stockers stores a plurality of discs. A lock device is mounted on each of side walls of the disc stocker. The lock device comprises a lock lever slidably mounted on the side wall and having a locking hook, and a manually operated release lever. The locking hook is provided to engage with a pin provided on the case so as to lock the disc stocker. The release lever is arranged to release the lock lever from the pin.

A brake mechanism in a tape recorder for applying a brake force to a supply reel and a take-up reel. In particular, a supply reel main brake and a take-up reel main brake are rotatably supported on a movable chassis. The brakes have first ends provided with rubber pads and opposite ends provided with abutting portions which are abuttable with each other. Intermediate portions of the brakes are provided with control pins which are in abutment with the cam portion of a slider. A spring interconnects the control pins. The brakes are configured such that the abutting piece of the supply reel side main brake pushes the abutting piece of the take-up side main brake so as to cause the rubber pad to be displaced from the take-up reel stand. Accordingly, the take-up side main brake is controlled by movement of the supply side main brake.

A cassette loading apparatus for a tape deck having a magnetic head includes a tray having a cassette casing for receiving a tape cassette, a movable rack for moving the tray between first and second positions, a mover for moving the cassette casing in a downward direction with respect to the tray, a clamper for pressing down on an upper surface of a cassette contained on the cassette casing when the cassette casing is moved to a downward position, and a cassette pusher for pushing a cassette contained on the cassette casing towards the magnetic head after the cassette casing is moved to the downward position.

Tape cassette loading apparatus in which a tray is projected from a tape

A tape recorder including two chassis which are relatively movable from the tape loading and unloading positions is provided. One of the chassis mounts thereon a rotary drum, a capstan, a tape loading mechanism and motors for driving these segments. Another chassis mounts thereon a reel stand, a mode switching mechanism and drive motors for driving these segments. The tape loading mechanism includes first and second guide members adapted to be movable along an outer periphery of the rotary drum. The guide members have tape draw-out pins for drawing out the tape from a tape cassette and a third guide member adapted to draw out the tape in cooperation with the first and second guide members. The third guide member has a first tape draw-out pin which changes the height of the tape draw-out position to a height which is the same as that of the tape cassette position. The third guide member also has a second tape draw-out pin for directing the tape subjected to positional change by the first pin to a direction parallel with the tape cassette.

Tape recorder having an improved cassette mounting device

A tape draw-out mechanism in a tape recorder which has a tape cassette mounted thereon. The tape recorder includes a rotary drum having a magnetic head where a tape is drawn out from the tape cassette and wound on the rotary drum by a predetermined amount for recording and reproduction. The tape draw-out mechanism includes first and second guide members which are adapted to be movable along an outer periphery of the rotary drum for drawing out the tape from the tape cassette. Additionally, a third guide member is provided to draw the tape out in cooperation with the first and second guide members. The third guide member includes a first tape draw-out pin which adjusts the height of the tape passed through a capstan at a terminal end of the tape draw-out position to a height which corresponds to the height of the tape cassette position. Additionally, the third guide member includes a second tape draw-out pin for directing the tape whose height has been adjusted to a position which is parallel to the tape cassette.
