This assist device for pulling out of a parking spot includes: an assist control unit for performing assist control to change the steering angle of a vehicle to a target steering angle; and a pulling out possibility determination unit for determining whether or not the vehicle can pull out on the basis of the detection result of a forward obstacle detected by forward detection unit. If it is determined that the vehicle can pull out, the assist control unit performs assist control to change the steering angle of the vehicle from the target steering angle to a neutral angle or a neutral vicinity angle.

Assist device for pulling out of parking spot

A parking assistance device includes: a ground object detection unit configured to, in a predetermined detection region set in advance in at least a portion of the vehicle periphery, perform detection of a ground object defining a parking stall in which garage parking is to be performed; an end portion specification unit configured to specify an end portion of the ground object detected by the ground object detection unit, the end portion being located on an entrance side of the parking stall; and a target parking stall setting unit configured to set, based on the end portion on the entrance side specified by the end portion specification unit, a corner portion of a rectangular parking frame that defines a target parking stall in which the vehicle is to be parked, and set the parking frame to extend from the corner portion in the depth direction of the parking stall.

Parking assistance device

A parking assistance device includes: a route information storage unit storing in advance route information indicating a travel route at the time of parking, the route information being stored according to the forward start position; an inclination calculation unit configured to calculate a current inclination of a vehicle length direction of the vehicle with respect to the target parking position; an offset amount setting unit configured to set an offset amount in the interval direction of the forward route between the current vehicle position and the position at which the vehicle length direction is parallel with the forward route; and a guiding unit configured to guide the vehicle to the target parking position based on a travel route adjacent to the position at which the vehicle length direction is parallel with the forward route.

Provided is a parking assistance device capable of setting a parking target position without placing a burden on a driver. The parking assistance device includes: a ground object detection unit configured to detect a ground object that defines a parking stall in a predetermined detection region set in advance on a lateral side of a vehicle; a parking stall calculation unit configured to, based on the ground object detected by the ground object detection unit, calculate a parking stall that exists in the detection region; and a target parking stall setting unit configured to, among the parking stalls calculated by the parking stall calculation unit, sets a parking stall in a width direction of the vehicle in a view from a driver's seat of the vehicle as a target parking stall.

A first correction coefficient and a second correction coefficient are map-searched based on a steering force applied by a driver to a steering wheel. A steering actuator is controlled based on an actuator driving electric current obtained by adding the product of an automatic steering control electric current and a first correction coefficient to the product of a power steering control electric current and a second correction coefficient. With an increase of the steering force, the first correction coefficient decreases and the second correction coefficient increases, so that a proportion of power steering control increases with respect to a proportion of automatic steering control.

Automatic steering device for vehicle

A cable steering system is provided in which first control means controls the operation of a power steering motor disposed between Bowden cables and wheels based on a steering torque detected by a steering torque detection means disposed between a steering wheel and the Bowden cables, and a second control means controls the operation of a steering reaction force addition motor that applies a steering reaction torque to the steering wheel. It is possible to prevent deterioration of the steering feel by generating a steering reaction torque by the steering reaction force addition motor so as to compensate for a change in the steering torque while regulating the change in steering responsiveness due to expansion and contraction of the Bowden cables by generating an assist torque by the power steering motor so as to change the steering torque.

Cable steering system

A parking operation aiding system includes a display for displaying parking-aiding information including a target parking position and a vehicle position. The system also includes a locus calculating means for calculating an expected movement locus for a subject vehicle in accordance with a distance of movement of the vehicle and a steering angle, an interference determining means for determining whether the expected movement locus will interfere with the target parking position, and an information determining means for determining subsequent parking operation aiding information based on the presence or absence the interference.

Parking operation aiding system

A parking aid system having a driver initially stop the subject vehicle alongside a target parking position so that a mark provided inside a door coincides with the central line of the target parking position when assisting the driver with left reverse parking. The subject vehicle is a predetermined distance away from an entrance of the target parking position, when the driver turns the operation switch ON. A display unit then displays the target parking position, the subject vehicle position, and an expected parking position. The expected parking position is set at a position that the subject vehicle reaches when reversing with the steering wheel turned fully to the left. Therefore, when the driver moves the subject vehicle forward to a position where the expected parking position coincides with the target parking position and reverses the subject vehicle from that position through 90&deg; while turning the steering wheel fully to the left, the subject vehicle can reliably be guided to the target parking position.

Parking aid system

An automatic steering system for a vehicle is provided which includes a memory section for storing data for a steering angle of a wheel with respect to a distance of movement of a vehicle in correspondence to four parking modes. If a desired parking mode is selected by a mode selecting switch and the vehicle is moved at a creep while depressing a brake pedal, a control section controls the operation of a steering actuator to perform automatic parking control. At this time, an object detector continuously detects the position of an object around or in the vicinity of the subject vehicle, and when there is an obstacle already existing within a locus of movement of the subject vehicle, or when there is a possibility that a moving obstacle may enter into the locus of movement of the subject vehicle, a warning is provided to a driver, and an automatic brake is operated. Thus, it is possible to reliably perform the automatic parking control when there is an obstacle.

Automatic steering system for vehicle

If a driver starts an automatic parking control operation with a vehicle V stopped at a starting position, the vehicle V is guided from the starting position via a reversing position to a target position. Left and right markers are provided on the vehicle V. The vehicle V can be stopped at the starting position by aligning any of the markers with the center line of a parking position.

Automatic steering apparatus for vehicle

An automatic steering system that can detect the steering operations of a driver during an automatic steering control operation in order to reliably discontinue the automatic steering control operation. The automatic steering control operation is discontinued if the driver spontaneously carries out a steering operation during an automatic steering control operation and if a steering torque equals to or is larger than a reference steering torque. When the steering torque equals to or is larger than the reference steering torque for at least a predetermined time, the automatic steering control operation is discontinued. Interruptions to the automatic operation by an instantaneous increase in steering torque due to a factor other than the steering operation provided by the driver, such as noise, can be eliminated. Furthermore, the reference steering torque or the predetermined time is changed in accordance with the frequency of an input steering torque, the vehicle speed, the steering angular speed, or the steering angular acceleration or the locus of movement of the vehicle.

An automatic steering device for a vehicle is provided to prevent an automatically steered vehicle from going out of its predetermined locus of movement as a result of an abnormal output of a movement distance detecting device. An actuator control device controls a steering actuator based upon the distance of movement detected by the movement distance detecting device and upon a locus of movement of the vehicle stored in a storage device. A judging device compares a vehicle speed estimated by a vehicle speed estimating device with an actual vehicle speed calculated by an actual vehicle speed detecting device from the distance of movement based upon the operating condition (shift range, accelerator opening degree and brake operating amount) of the vehicle detected by an operating condition detecting device. When the movement distance detecting device or the actual vehicle speed detecting device is judged to be abnormal, a discontinuing device discontinues the operation for controlling the steering actuator which is based on an actuator control device.

Automatic steering device for vehicles

An apparatus is provided to correctly judge whether an automatic parking control operation can be accomplished when an obstacle exists in the path of movement of a vehicle, and thus enables the vehicle to be parked easily and reliably. In order that the vehicle can be parked along the locus of movement, an automatic steering operation is carried out on the basis of a relation between a traveling distance of the vehicle stored in advance and a reference steering angle. When the automatic parking control operation is interrupted due to the existence of the obstacle, a judgment whether or not the continuation of the automatic parking control operation is possible is made on the basis of the condition of the obstacle detected by a sonar, radar, a television camera, and the like and the locus of movement of the vehicle. When the continuation of this operation is impossible, the steering angle of the vehicle is reproduced in a reverse direction, and the vehicle is thereby returned to the starting position. The position of the vehicle is thereafter corrected to again start the parking operation by the driver's steering operation or by automatic parking operation.
