An eyeglass lens periphery processing apparatus for processing an eyeglass lens includes: a lens shuck shaft holding the eyeglass lens; a data input unit inputting target lens shape data and layout data of an optical center of the lens with respect to the target lens shape; left and right lens selecting unit inputting a selection signal as to whether the lens held by the lens chuck shaft is a right lens or a left lens; a lens shape detecting unit detecting the lens shape; a confirming unit confirming whether the lens held by the lens chuck shaft is the correct one of the right lens and the left lens based on the detecting result of the lens shape detecting unit, the layout data and the selection signal; and a notifying unit notifying the confirming result of the confirming unit.

A system includes: a cup attaching unit configured to attach a cup to a surface of an eyeglass lens; a processing apparatus main body that includes a housing in which a lens processing mechanism with a processing tool configured to process the eyeglass lens held by a lens chuck shaft is arranged; a display which is arranged at the housing and is configured to display an operation step; a signal input unit configured to input a switching signal to switch a screen of the display from a screen for a current operation step to a screen for a next operation step; and a controller configured to control the display to switch displaying the screen of the display from the screen for the current operation step to the screen of the next operation step based on the switching signal input by the signal input unit.

An apparatus including a cup attaching unit, includes: a lens support portion for supporting a lens on a reference axis extending in a vertical direction; a support arm to which an attaching portion to which the cup is attached is attached; a moving arm for support the support arm to be movable so that the attaching portion can be directed in a downward direction toward the lens support portion and in an upward direction or a forward direction; and a lever configured to be operated by the operation and rotate the support arm so as to direct the attaching portion in from the second direction to the first direction. The lever is provided at the support arm and lowers the attaching portion together with the moving arm after the attaching portion is directed in the downward direction.

An eyeglass lens processing apparatus for processing a peripheral edge of an eyeglass lens, includes: a processing unit including a plurality of processing tools that process the peripheral edge of the eyeglass lens held by a lens chuck shaft; a calibrating lens; a mode selector that selects a calibration mode; a memory that stores calibration processing data for processing the calibrating lens to a predetermined shape; a detecting unit that includes a tracing stylus that contacts a surface of the calibrating lens which is processed by the processing unit based on the calibration processing data to detect the shape of the processed calibrating lens in the calibration mode; and a calculating unit that obtain calibration data by comparing a detected result by the detecting unit with the calibration processing data in the calibration mode.

Eyeglass lens processing apparatus

An eyeglass lens processing apparatus includes a lens holding unit for holding an eyeglass lens, a roughing tool, a finishing tool, a drilling tool, a processing water supply unit for applying processing water to a processed part of the lens held by the lens holding unit, and a controller for controlling driving operations of each of the processing tools and the processing water supply unit in order to execute roughing for the lens by the roughing tool without application of the processing water, drilling for the lens by the drilling tool without the application of the processing water after the roughing and finishing for the lens by the finishing tool with the application of the processing water after the drilling.

An eyeglass lens processing apparatus for processing a periphery of an eyeglass lens, the apparatus includes: a lens chuck shaft that holds and rotates the lens; an end mill that processes the periphery of the lens; an end mill tilting unit that varies a tilt of the end mill with respect to the lens chuck shaft; an end mill moving unit that relatively moves the end mill with respect to the lens held by the lens chuck shaft; a target lens shape input unit that inputs an target lens shape; a lens measuring unit that detects a position of a processing edge of the lens based on the input target lens shape; a memory that stores a beveling shape including a beveling tilt angle on a front surface side of the lens and a beveling tilt angle on a rear surface side of the lens; and a control unit that controls the end mill tilting unit and the end mill moving unit to perform a roughing process on the lens using the end mill based on the input target lens shape and to perform a beveling process on the roughing-processed lens using the end mill based on the detected position of the processing edge and the stored beveling shape.

A surface inspection apparatus for inspecting a shape of an inspected surface of an object to be inspected includes: a supporting unit capable of supporting the object in a state in which the inspected surface is in a substantially vertical state; and a moving state which moves the object in a substantially vertical direction while the inspected surface is maintained in the substantially vertical state.
