The card connector can adequately detect the state in which an electronic device such as a memory card to be inserted and removed is fitted, and saves the footprint for mounting the card connector. With this card connector, a card detection switch detects a state in which a memory card is fitted in an accommodating part of a housing through an insertion slot. The card detection switch has movable terminals and fixed terminals, and the movable terminals each have a card contact part which is displaced by being pressed by the memory card to be inserted, and a movable contact part which is displaced in a same direction as a direction in which card contact part is displaced following displacement of the card contact part. The fixed terminals are each arranged in the housing to project in a direction to interest the direction in which the movable contact part is displaced, and is slid against by the movable contact part when the movable contact part is displaced.

Card connector and detection switch

A receptacle connector prevents a plug from being obliquely inserted with a simple configuration. Receptacle connectorhas: a hollow rectangular shape shield case () which is made by machining a metal plate and which includes fitting slot; and a housing () which is covered by the shield case () and in which contacts () to be connected with terminal parts () of an inserted plug () are disposed. In the shield case (), a projecting part () is formed extending along one side of the fitting slot () by denting an upper plate part (), which defines the accommodating part () accommodating the plug (), to project toward an accommodating region (). An end surface () of this projecting part () on the fitting slot () side is closer to the fitting slot () side than the contacts () and forms a plane orthogonal to the upper plate part ().

Receptacle connector, plug connector and connector apparatus

A connector adequately detects a state of an electronic component such as a memory card which is fitted in the connector by way of insertion, even when scrapes of a housing of the electronic component are produced due to insertion and removal of the electronic component which is fitted. In this connector (), detecting parts (A andB), which detect that a memory card () is fitted completely in an accommodating part () or detect whether or not data can be written in the memory card (), have fixed terminals () and movable terminals (). In the movable terminal (), a card contacting part () placed in the accommodating part () is pressed by the memory card (), so that a movable contact part () contacts and conducts with the fixed terminal (). An isolating wall part () is provided between the contacting part () and the movable contact part () to isolate a contact area between the movable contact part () and the fixed terminal (), from the contacting area between the contacting part () and the memory card ().

Connector

An interface connector makes the pitches between the contacts narrower and realizes miniaturization of the connector. This connector () has: a shield case () that includes a fitting slot () into which an electronic component inserted from an open side fits; a housing () that is covered by the shield case (); and a plurality of contacts (A andB). In the shield case (), a plurality of contacts (A andB) are disposed along the insertion direction in the housing () and contact point parts () are aligned in a row in the direction orthogonal to the insertion direction. Lead parts () of contacts (A andB) which are adjacent in the direction orthogonal to the insertion direction, project from rear surface () of the connector (), alternately in the directions orthogonal to the insertion direction and the direction in which the contact point parts are aligned in a row.

Connector for memory card

A connector includes a housing formed of resin and having contacts provided therein, a shield case formed of metal, engaging grooves formed in the housing, and engaging convex parts formed on the shield case. The housing is inserted into the shield case so as to be attached thereto. The engaging convex parts engage the engaging grooves when the housing is inserted into the shield case.

Connector with improved reliability

A connector includes a contact having an end part connected to another connection device and another end part connected to a cable, and a housing part fixed to the contact by pushing the contact with pressure, wherein the housing part has a first housing part and a second housing part mounted to the first housing part and having a float stop part, the other end part of the contact extends from the first housing part in a state where the contact is fixed to the housing part, and the other end part of the contact is received with the float stop part of the second housing part whereby the contact is prevented from floating.

Electrical connector

A connector in which it is possible to prevent its contact from being disengaged or displaced from a groove of a contact holding member includes a shielding cover, a plurality of contacts (terminals) arranged inside the shielding cover, and a contact holding member for holding the contacts inside the shielding cover. The contact holding member is formed with a plurality of grooves, and each groove is formed with opposite protruding portions along its longitudinal direction for restricting the movement of the contact in a direction away from a bottom surface of the groove.

Multi-contact connector

A connector plug includes a metallic shielding cover which is comprised of a first tubular body having a tip side and a second tubular body having a base side, the base side of the second tubular body being partially connected to the tip side of the first tubular body through a continuous connecting part, a plurality of contacts arranged in the shielding cover, and a coupling structure for fixedly coupling the second tubular body to the first tubular body. The structure includes at least one aperture provided in the first tubular body and at least one projection provided in the second tubular body so as to engage with the aperture, and a tip part of the projection is bent for locking the engagement between the aperture and the projection.

Multi-contact connector plug for transmitting and receiving electrical signals and supplying electrical power

An electronic device having a terminal unit disposed within a window formed on the casing is provided. This terminal unit is protected from an inadvertent touch. The electronic device of the present invention includes the casing and the terminal unit that is formed on a substrate disposed in the casing and has one or more terminals exposed through the window formed on the surface of the casing. This electronic device further includes a cover to block up the window. The cover is detachably mounted to the window.

A miniature connector has an inner insulated body, which supports a plurality of contact conductors which contact conductors on a companion connector, the inner insulating body being surrounded on the outside by a shield case, and an outer surface of a connection cord side end of the shield case is covered by an external insulated mold, adjacent contact conductor housing holes, in which connection ends of the contact conductors are placed, have differing depths, a connecting part cover, formed in unitary manner with the inner insulated body preventing a connection cord core wire, which is soldered onto each of the connection ends, from popping out of its corresponding contact conductor housing hole.

Miniature connector

A flexibly mounted miniature circuit board moves slightly within an electrical connector preventing electrical failure when subjected to improper forces. The miniature circuit board is electrically connected to an inner connector. The inner connector has a plurality of electrical connectors for connecting to external contacts. The miniature circuit board and inner connector are surrounded by an electrically insulating resin case. The inner connector is rigidly mounted to the insulating case. The miniature circuit board is soldered to the inner connector.
