An active vibration or noise suppression system is provided that achieves fast convergence of vibration or noise. A sine wave control signal yis constituted by frequency of a vibration or noise source, and an amplitude filter coefficient aand a phase filter coefficient &#x3c6;as an adaptive filter coefficient. The sine wave control signal yis expressed by a sine wave having an amplitude component and a phase component, and each of an amplitude update term &#x394;aand a phase update term &#x394;&#x3c6;includes a sine wave or cosine wave term having an amplitude component and a phase component. The phase component of the sine wave control signal yis multiplied by a coefficient other than 1, or the phase component of the sine wave or cosine wave term of each of the amplitude update term &#x394;aand the phase update term &#x394;&#x3c6;is multiplied by a coefficient other than 1.

A fluid filled vibration damping device including: an elastic body elastically connecting a first and a second mounting member and partially defining a pressure receiving chamber filled with a non-compressible fluid; a flexible diaphragm partially defining an equilibrium chamber filled with the non-compressible fluid and connected to the pressure-receiving chamber via an orifice passage. The first mounting member includes an elastic-body-side central member bonded to the elastic body central portion, and a rubber-layer-side central member bonded to the flexible rubber layer central portion, both mutually superposed on and fastened together by a connecting bolt. A fitting recess and projection are formed at an interface between two members, and a mounting projection projecting outward on an opposite side from the interface. The connecting bolt is off-centered from a center of the two members by a give distance.

Fluid filled vibration damping device

A vibration damping actuator including: a cup-shaped housing; an output member disposed spaced apart from an opening end of the housing; a guide rod disposed on the output member and positioned inserted into a guide hole; a coil member provided to one of the housing and the output member; an armature disposed on an other of the housing and the output member, the armature being adapted to exert actuating force on the output member; an annular fixing member arranged about the output member; a support rubber plate disposed between the annular fixing member and the output member; and a positioning projection formed at an inside peripheral edge of the fixing member by projecting the inside peripheral edge of the fixing member in cylindrical configuration in an axial direction towards an inside of the housing. The positioning projection is disposed at a location situated inward by a predetermined distance from the opening of the housing for positioning the fixing member relative to the housing.

Active vibration damping actuator and active damping apparatus using the same

A fluid-filled vibration-damping device including an elastic body elastically connecting a first and a second mounting member, a pressure-receiving chamber disposed inward of and partially defined by the elastic body, and a flexible rubber layer disposed outwardly of and cooperating with the elastic body to form an equilibrium chamber held in fluid communication with the pressure-receiving chamber through a first orifice passage. The first mounting member includes an elastic-body central member and a rubber-layer central member, which are fixed together at their abutting surfaces by a fixing mechanism, to constitute the first mounting member, and positioned relative to each other by an engagement of a fitting recess and projection formed on their abutting surfaces. A peripheral portion of an interface between the abutting surfaces of the elastic-body central member and said rubber-layer central member entirely faces the equilibrium chamber and/or the pressure-receiving chamber.

Fluid-filled vibration damping device

A vibration damping actuator including: a guide hole open onto a bottom face of a housing; a lid metal plate fitted into the opening of the guide hole with a size enough to hinder inward displacement thereof into the guide hole by an annular shoulder portion; an engaging groove disposed on an inner circumferential surface of the opening; a snap ring of C-letter shape fitted into the engaging groove to prevent the lid metal plate from becoming dislodged from the opening; and a sealing rubber layer formed covering an inside face of the lid metal plate. The lid metal plate is pressed by the snap ring so that the sealing rubber layer is pushed against the annular shoulder portion, thereby sealing the opening of the guide hole.

A control section outputs a reference signal which corresponding to a frequency and an amplitude of signals sent from a vibration generation source. The pulse width modulation section generates a drive control signal to, an electromagnetic valve, connection of an air chamber and is alternately switched between the side of an inlet port and the side of the atmosphere. The drive control signal corresponds to an amplitude of the reference signal and is composed of at least the same number of pulses corresponding to a duty ratio-changed frequency as that of each one period of the standard signal. The drive control signal is synchronized with the standard signal. The number of pulses of the drive control signal for each period of the reference signal is changed corresponding to a control frequency of the standard signal so that the number of pulses and the control frequency is not larger than a responding frequency of the electromagnetic valve.

Air-pressure type excitation apparatus

A fluid-filled active vibration damping device comprising an elastic body elastically connecting a first and a second mounting member and partially defining a fluid chamber filled with a non-compressible fluid, an oscillating member partially defining the fluid chamber and being reciprocatory movable in order to control a pressure of the fluid in the fluid chamber. The above vibration damping device further includes an independently formed electromagnetic actuator for applying driving force to oscillate the oscillating member and having an oscillating sleeve member fixedly connected to the oscillating member, and a retainer adapted to support the electromagnetic actuator with respect to the second mounting member such that the retainer fixed to the second mounting member while housing the electromagnetic actuator, while a yoke member of the electromagnetic actuator is fixed to a bottom wall portion of the retainer so as to extend through the bottom wall portion. A method of producing the fluid-filled active vibration-damping device is also disclosed.

Fluid-filled active vibration damping device and method of producing the same

A damping actuator includes: an inner shaft member; an outer sleeve member disposed in a coaxial relationship with each other with a radial spacing therebetween such that the outer sleeve member being movable relative to the inner shaft member; a coil and an inner yoke disposed coaxially with and fixedly mounted to the inner shaft member so as to give inner magnetic pole portions; and a permanent magnet and an outer yoke fixedly mounted to the outer sleeve member so as to give outer magnetic pole portions. The outer magnetic pole portions are opposed to the inner magnetic poles in a radial direction perpendicular to an axial direction of the inner shaft member with a radial gap therebetween, and are offset from the plurality of inner magnetic poles in the axial direction. The coil is energized for generating magnetic axial driving force acting between said inner and outer magnetic poles so that the inner and outer magnetic poles are moved relative to each other in the axial direction. Damping devices equipped with the damping actuator are also disclosed.

A fluid-filled elastic engine mount including an elastic body elastically connecting two mutually spaced-apart first and second mounting members and partially defining a pressure-receiving chamber filled with a non-compressible fluid, a flexible diaphragm partially defining an equilibrium chamber whose volume is variable, a movable oscillating plate partially defining the pressure-receiving chamber, an oscillating device for oscillating the movable oscillating plate for controlling pressure of the fluid in the pressure-receiving chamber, a first and a second orifice passage for effecting fluid communication between the pressure-receiving and equilibrium chambers. The first and second orifice passages are tuned to a low frequency band corresponding to an engine shake vibration and a medium-frequency range corresponding to an engine idling vibration, while the first and second orifice passages are disposed parallel to each other. The elastic engine mount further comprises a deformable elastic plate disposed in one of opposite opening of the second orifice passage located on the side of the pressure-receiving chamber, so that the deformable elastic plate closes the opening of the second orifice passage on the side of the pressure-receiving chamber.

As a result, the convergence stability and the characteristic following the frequency variation are compatible with each other.

A vibration damping support apparatus for a power unit of an automobile is disclosed which includes: an oscillating device disposed between a vehicle body and the power unit, for oscillating the power unit with respect to the vehicle body; a first sensor attached to the power unit, for detecting vibration of the power unit; a second sensor attached to a member of a vehicle suspension system, for detecting vibration of the suspension member which is displaced relative to the vehicle body in response to movements of vehicle wheels; a third sensor attached to a monitoring point on the vehicle body, for detecting vibration of the vehicle body at the monitoring point; and a control device for controlling the oscillating device, based on a first reference signal and a second reference signal received from the first and second sensors, respectively, and an error signal received from the third sensor, the control device performing an adaptive control so that the error signal is minimized.

A fluid-filled elastic mount including an elastic body elastically connecting a first and a second support, and partially defining a fluid chamber filled with a non-compressible fluid. The elastic mount includes an oscillating plate which partially defines the fluid chamber and which is displaceable to change a pressure of the fluid in the fluid chamber, and a permanent magnet disposed on one of opposite sides of the oscillating plate remote from the fluid chamber. A first and a second yoke member are connected to opposite magnetic pole faces of the magnet by a plastic material, and cooperate with the magnet to define a closed magnetic circuit. The yoke members define therebetween an annular gap in the magnetic circuit, in which a magnetic fluid and an annular moving coil are received. The magnetic fluid includes magnetic particles dispersed in a liquid medium. The coil is fixed to the oscillating plate, to oscillate the oscillating plate upon energization of the coil.

A fluid-filled elastic mount wherein an elastic body elastically connecting a first and a second support partially defines a fluid chamber filled with a non-compressible fluid. The elastic mount includes an oscillating plate which partially defines the fluid chamber and which is displaceable to change a pressure of the fluid in the fluid chamber, and a permanent magnet disposed on one of opposite sides of the oscillating plate remote from the fluid chamber. A first and a second yoke member are connected to opposite magnetic pole faces of the magnet and cooperate with the magnet to define a closed magnetic circuit. The yoke members define therebetween an annular gap in the magnetic circuit, in which an annular moving coil is received. The coil is fixed to the oscillating plate, to oscillate the oscillating plate upon energization of the coil. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing the elastic mount, in which a blank for the magnet is magnetized together with the yoke members after the blank and yoke members are assembled into a unit.
