A coating system includes a first robot configured to open an opening/closing portion of a vehicle body and a second robot configured to coat an interior of the vehicle body through the opening/closing portion opened by the first robot. The first robot has a first base via which the first robot is mounted to a structure forming a coating area. The second robot has a second base via which the second robot is mounted. The second base is mounted below the first base in a vertical direction.

Coating system and coating method

A coating system including a coating robot and a movable opener robot. The coating robot has a fixed base fixedly mounted to a coating booth, and a first arm rotatably coupled to the fixed base about a first axis substantially parallel to a conveyance direction of a workpiece that includes a body and a first movable member. The body has a body inner surface and the first movable member has a first movable member inner surface. The movable opener robot has a movable base mounted such that the movable opener robot is movable in the coating booth in the conveyance direction. The movable base is mounted below the fixed base. The movable opener robot can open the first movable member of the workpiece. The coating robot can coat the body inner surface and the first movable member inner surface when the first movable member has been opened.

The coating robot has a height and is mounted in a coating booth to coat a workpiece while the workpiece is conveyed in the coating booth in a conveyance direction substantially perpendicular to a height direction. The workpiece including a body and a movable part movable with respect to the body. The operation robot is disposed in the coating booth below the coating robot in the height direction. The operation robot is movable in the coating booth in the conveyance direction and is configured to move the movable part of the workpiece.

A carrying device includes a swivel that swivels around a central axis line of a revolution orbit that passes through a workpiece transfer area and a workpiece work area for a workpiece to be worked on by a robot, multiple workpiece holders positioned on the swivel such that when a first one of the workpiece holders is positioned in the workpiece transfer area, a second one of the workpiece holders is positioned in the workpiece work area, a revolution driver that causes the swivel to swivel around the central axis line of the revolution orbit, and a tilting driver that tilts each of the workpiece holders with respect to the central axis line of the revolution orbit.

Carrying device, robot system, production system and control method

A carrier device according to an embodiment includes a base that is disposed on an installation surface and a swivel arm that is provided on the base to swivel freely and of which turn tables attached to its both ends pass between a carrying in and out position and a working position that are previously set on a circular orbit. The base has a hollow structure and includes a hollow part that has at least therein the center of rotation of the swivel arm and into and through which a predetermined linear object can be inserted.

Carrier device and robot system

A carrier device according to embodiments includes: a swivel arm that is provided on a base installed on an installation surface to be able to swivel around a central axis and whose leading ends can pass on a circular orbit; and turn tables that are attached to the leading ends of the swivel arm and can carry a predetermined workpiece while placing thereon the workpiece between a working position and a carrying in/out position provided on the circular orbit. The turn table is rotated by an integral multiple of 360 degrees with respect to the installation surface while the turn table is moving from the working position to the carrying in/out position by swiveling the swivel arm.

A painting system includes a conveyor, a first travel guide rail, a second travel guide rail, a painting robot, and an opener robot. The conveyor is configured to convey in a paint booth an article to be painted. The first travel guide rail is provided at a side of the conveyor to extend along the conveyor. The second travel guide rail is provided at a side of the conveyor to extend along the conveyor above the first travel guide rail. The painting robot is mounted on the first travel guide rail to be movable along the first travel guide rail. The opener robot is mounted on the second travel guide rail to be movable along the second travel guide rail. The painting robot and the opener robot are movable along the first travel guide rail and the second travel guide rail respectively without interfering with each other.
