A memory card installer, comprising a main body having such a shape that can be installed on a memory card installation part provided on a device allowing a memory card to be connected thereto, an installation part allowing a plurality of memory cards to be installed thereto, device side input and output terminals connected electrically to a device side in such a state that the main body is installed on the memory card installation part, a plurality of memory card side input and output terminals connected electrically to each of the memory cards installed in the installation part, and a connection switching part switching the connection of each of the memory card side input and output terminals to the device side input and output terminals.

It is a object of this invention to provide a graphite cladding sheet having an excellent mechanical strength and applicable to wide use and a graphite device using said sheet. A portable video tape recorder for broadcasting applications comprises a pair of video heads mounted diametrically opposite to each other on the circumference of a rotary cylinder. High and low frequency carriers are modulated by frequency modulators with I and Q signals, respectively, and frequency division multiplexed for application to the video heads. The frequency values of the carriers are selected so that third-order distortion noise caused by the hysteresis characteristics of the video heads and the magnetic tape may fall within a frequency range differing from the frequencies of the modulated carriers by an amount greater than the bandwidth of the I and Q signals which are demodulated by frequency demodulators to prevent the occurrence of beat interference in the frequency band of the reproduced video signal.

In a video tape recorder, luminance and chrominance signals are recorded respectively by first and second transducer heads along separate tracks skewed to the direction of tape motion. The transducer heads are rotated during particular modes such as slow-motion or still picture reproduction, in a tape-head speed relationship different from the normal tape-head speed relationship, causing the transducer heads to traverse several tracks. A switching circuit is coupled to the transducer heads to selectively connect the outputs of the heads to an output circuit in response to a point of transition of amplitude of the output signal from the second head to cancel unwanted signal components detected by the heads during traversal across the tracks.

Luminance and chrominance signals, which are interleaved with respective synchronization signals, are recorded through the use of two video transducer heads alternately in skewed separate tracks of a recording tape. Upon reproduction, the timing signals are separated from the luminance and chrominance signals and compared in phase between them to detect the phase difference between the luminance and chrominance signals. A variable delay line is provided to introduce a variable delay interval as a function of the detected phase difference to the one of the signals which is advanced in phase relative to the other. The time axis deviation of the video signal from a standard phase is also detected by a comparison between the time base, or horizontal sync pulse, and a reference time base to introduce a delay time to both the luminance and chrominance signals.

A system for compensating image contour by modulating a scanning velocity in accordance with a video signal is disclosed, in which a mean current dissipated in a driving power amplifier is detected to control a gain of an amplifier in a preceding stage for suppressing the increase of power dissipation in the power amplifier when a video signal having many noises is received. The preceding stage amplifier is provided with a saturation characteristic to enhance the effect of contour compensation at a small amplitude signal and eliminate over compensation of image contour at a large amplitude signal. The combination of the saturation characteristic and the gain control further enhances the effect of suppression of power dissipation.

A combustion device of the type for atomizing liquid fuel by an ultrasonic atomizer and mixing the atomized fuel particles with air for combustion. A first air passage is defined around a horn of the ultrasonic atomizer by an inner cylinder, and a second air passage is defined around the first air passage by the inner cylinder and an outer cylinder. The air flowing through the first air passage is discharged into a cylindrical combustion section substantially in parallel with the axis thereof while the air flowing through the second air passage is swirled in the direction substantially tangential to the inner wall of the combustion section and discharged toward the atomizing surface of the horn, whereby the satisfactory mixing of the atomized fuel particles with the combustion air may be attained and the flame may be optimumly stabilized.

A delay circuitry for producing a delayed signal the gain of which is stable irrespective of drift and fluctuation of the delay time of a delay line employed therein, which drift and fluctuation are caused by the changes in the conditions around the delay line. In this circuitry, a carrier signal is modulated with an input signal and the modulated carrier signal is then delayed in the delay line, the delay time of which is unstable due to the conditions around the delay line. The modulated and delayed carrier signal is detected by a synchronous detector with a reference signal, the phase of which is adjusted so that it is always in phase with the modulated and delayed carrier signal to produce the delayed signal which is stable irrespective of the drift and the fluctuation of the delay time.
