A laminating apparatus includes: a first jig including at least one curved portion; a second jig opposing the first jig; a pad portion on the second jig; a tube between the first jig and the pad portion, the tube contractable and expandable by a fluid to be injected thereinto; a pressure regulator to regulate a pressure of a fluid injected into the tube; and a fluid moving portion connecting the tube and the pressure regulator. A laminating method is also provided.

Laminating apparatus and laminating method using the same

A method of manufacturing a display device includes disposing a curved cover window on a first jig, the first jig includes a settling unit having a curved portion and a supporting unit, the supporting unit includes a seesaw guide having a first portion and a second portion, a rotation axis disposed between the first and second portions, and a weight disposed on the first portion, wherein the seesaw guide is configured to rotate about the rotation axis, disposing a display panel on a second jig, rotating the first jig such that the cover window faces the display panel, and attaching the display panel to the cover window by raising or lowering the first jig or the second jig. The rotating of the first jig includes rotating the settling unit and the first jig such that the weight causes the second portion of the seesaw guide to contact the cover window.

Apparatus for manufacturing a display device and a method using the same

A laminating apparatus includes a first jig having at least one recessed portion, a second jig disposed opposite to the first jig, a step difference portion disposed on the second jig, an elastic sheet disposed on each of the second jig and the step difference portion, and a guide portion spaced apart from the step difference portion and overlapping an edge of the elastic sheet. A width of the step difference portion is greater than a width of the recessed portion of the first jig.

A method of fabricating a curved display device includes placing a cover window having a curved portion and a flat portion on a stage, placing an absorption member, on which a panel member is placed, over the stage, and bonding the panel member onto the flat portion and then the curved portion of the cover window by pressing the panel member against the cover window with a roller, wherein a supporting member is formed at an end of the stage, where the bonding of the panel member and the cover window ends, such that the supporting member supports an end of the panel member until the bonding of the panel member and the cover window is complete.
