A center-foldable seat back has a seat back upper part that can be tilted forward relative to a seat back lower part. A trim cover is provided, sewn along the entire periphery at the mutual contact position of an upper and lower cover, the pulled-in state is modulated by cloth pieces, thereby preventing wrinkles. The seat back is provided with the trim cover in which one cloth piece one side edge of which is sewn to the ends of the lower and upper cover is provided at least in the central portion on the inside of the trim cover, the cloth piece is extended inward, the other side edge thereof is sewn to a fastener, the central portion on the back side is extended inward and sewn to the fastener, and the central portion on the inside of the trim cover is sewn to open and close by one fastener.

A recliner mechanism includes a housing, a cover having first gear teeth, latches movably arranged in the housing, the latches having inducting pins and second gear teeth, a cam disc having guide holes, the guide holes having first and second hole end portions, the inducting pins being inserted through the guide holes, an actuating shaft, the cam and the cam disc being integrally mounted on the actuating shaft, the cover being combined with the housing in a face-to-face relation with the housing so as to be rotatable relative to the housing, springs arranged in the housing for urging the cam so as to cause the second gear teeth of the latches to be engaged with the first gear teeth of the cover, a memory disc having controlling holes formed therein and spaced apart protruding pieces protruding therefrom, the controlling holes having first and second hole portions and middle hole portions, the inducting pins being inserted in the middle hole portions, and an applying plate mounted on the actuating shaft, the applying shaft having feeding pawls that are adapted to selectively abutted against the protruding pieces. In a seat in which the seat is placed so as to be freely moved by a slide rail a striker lock retained and mounted to a striker standing up from a vehicle body floor F is provided in a lower portion close to a rear end of a lower rail , and the seat is placed so as to be freely kicked up from a rear portion side to an upper side in a folded state around a supporting shaft axially supporting and pivoting a front end side of the lower rail corresponding to a supporting point, there is provided a switching mechanism which makes it impossible to unlock the striker lock by an operation lever when the seat is kept at a front seated position, and makes it possible to lock the striker lock by the operation lever when the seat is moved to a predetermined rear position, whereby it is possible to mechanically execute a step of moving the seat to the predetermined position in the rear side within the vehicle, thereafter unlocking the striker lock and kicking up the seat.
