A print paper feeding device for photograph processing apparatus, in order to enable to smoothly and positively feed a continuous tape-shaped print paper from a printer to a processer as fitted to the operating characteristics of the printer and processer, comprising a first feeding roller means to be rotated intermittently, a second feeding roller means which can be intermittently rotated to make a first loop of the print paper of a predetermined size between it and the first feeding roller means and an image developing feeding roller means which can be continuously rotated to make a second loop of the print paper of a predetermined size between it and the second feeding roller means. When the first loop becomes larger than a predetermined size, the first feeding roller means will be stopped and, when the second loop becomes smaller than a predetermined size, the second feeding roller means will be stopped and the tape-shaped print paper will be automatically cut between the second feeding roller means and second loop.

Printed paper feeding device for photograph processing apparatus

A negative film carrier device comprising a negative film carrier provided with an inherent signal part corresponding to the size of a negative film to be carried and a negative film carrier supporting base provided with a negative film size senser switch which can be operated by the signal part when the negative film carrier is mounted, in order to prevent the misoperation in the case of changing the size of the negative film and to facilitate the automation of the printer.

Negative film carrier device

This printing device is provided with a printing wheel for printing digits on such printed sheet as a check and another printing means for printing digits on a journal paper. According to this printing device, a series of digits memorized in advance within a printing instructing means by the key operation are simultaneously printed on the printed sheet and journal paper by the operation of a function key. The printing operation, printed sheet feeding operation, journal printing wheel figure feeding operation and returning operation to the original position and journal paper feeding operation are made independently of each other by driving forces transmitted respectively through a plurality of clutch mechanisms.

Printing device

A printer having a plurality of swingable and rotatable printing character bearing endless belts each of which is stretched around a pair of rotatable wheels, one of which is adapted to be swung into contact with a platen. The other wheel is adapted to be driven by a driving shaft to select the character to be printed. The belts are selectively swung in response to a signal from a control circuit to abut the characters selected against the platen onto a paper therebetween, and the belts are also selectively moved by the other wheels in response to electrical signals which drive a drive shaft which drives the other wheels.

The printer has a plurality of printing rings each rotatably supported by a swingable layer pivoted about a pivot axis so as to be swung in an arcuate path around the pivot axis while it is rotated by a driving source about its own axis so that the printing rings are selectively swung toward and against a platen upon receipt of printing character selection command from the control circuit of the printer so as to print onto a paper held therebetween when the selected one of the characters on the respective printing ring is brought to a position for the printing during the rotation thereof. The driving source for the rotation of the printing rings is controlled by pulses so that the rotation about the axis of the respective printing ring is rendered to be intermittent and the swinging of the respective swingable lever for the printing operation is effected during the time the respective printing ring is held stationary in its intermittent rotation thereby insuring exact printing operation of the selected characters.

Device for intermittently driving printing rings in a printer

The paper feeding mechanism in a printer has a paper feeding roller and a pressure roller cooperating with the paper feeding roller so as to feed a paper sandwiched therebetween for the printing operation of the paper, and the pressure roller is mounted on a resiliently energized swingable lever so that the pressure roller is releasably urged against the paper feeding roller for feeding the paper. The paper feeding mechanism further comprises a paper arresting member adapted to disengageably contact with and arrest the paper when actuated, an actuating lever coupled with swingable lever as well as the paper arresting member and a driving solenoid provided with a plunger actuated thereby and coupled with the actuating lever. The relative arrangement of the swingable lever and the paper arresting member with respect to the actuating lever is so determined that, when the latter is actuated by the solenoid through the plunger thereof, the swingable lever is urged so as to move the pressure roller apart from the paper feeding roller for inactivating the feeding of the paper while the paper arresting member is actuated so as to arrest the paper.

Paper feeding mechanism in a printer

Line printer having a plurality of coaxially arranged rotatable printing rings each bearing a series of characters to selectively effect printing on a paper and a platen movable toward in contact with and away from the printing rings so as to effect printing on the paper interposed between the platen and the printing rings when the platen abuts against the printing rings, each of the printing rings being selectively arrested by a select lever actuated by the printing signal from a control system of the printer thereby positioning desired characters of the respective printing rings in the printing position at which the platen abuts against the printing rings so that a line of printing is produced on the paper simultaneously. The printer comprises a mechanism for additionally printing a mark such as an underline and the like adjacent to particular characters printed on the paper. The mechanism is moved to the printing position by a signal from the control system. The mechanism comprises a printing wire with portions supported by a pair of printing levers swingably arranged at opposite extremities of the coaxially arranged printing rings. The printing wire is supplied with ink from an ink supply each time it is moved out of the printing position.

Line printer

Line printer having a plurality of rotatable printing rings coaxially arranged adjacent each other and carrying on the peripheries thereof a plurality of characters for the printing and a movable roller pad adapted to abut against the printing rings at the predetermined printing position so that the selected characters of the printing rings held at the printing position are simultaneously printed on a paper held between the printing rings and the roller pad so as to form simultaneously a line of printing thereon in each printing cycle. The printing rings are rotated in the same direction in each printing cycle in order to eliminate a complicated mechanism for reciprocally driving the printing rings. The selection of the characters, temporary arresting of the same at the printing position and the printing operation by the roller pad are effected during a first half cycle of each printing cycle while the paper feeding and the releasing of the characters from the printing position are effected during the last half cycle of each printing cycle by way of a single common driving shaft.

Printer having swingable printing rings which are selectively swung against a platen to print a line of selected characters on a paper by selecting a desired character from a plurality of characters provided on the periphery of each printing ring during the rotation thereof about its axis. Each printing ring is rotatably supported on a swingable printing ring supporting lever which is in turn swingably supported on a driving shaft. A plurality of driving gears are secured to the driving shaft and each of the driving gears meshes with a gear integral with the respective printing ring so as to rotate the same about its axis for selection of a desired character during the rotation thereof. Each printing ring supporting lever is urged by a spring so as to move the printing ring thereon apart from the platen. A plurality of driving levers are swingably supported on the driving shaft and each driving lever is engaged with the respective printing ring supporting lever.

Printer having swingable printing rings

An impact printer in which a printing drum having a plurality of lines each containing different characters is associated with printing hammers. The printing hammers are driven into contact with the characters by a driving shaft having a driving projection thereon. The driving projection is separated into driving projection sections which are axially and radially displaced along the driving shaft. Each section will selectively engage different printing hammers so that all hammers will not operate at once for the same characters. The characters in the lines are also displaced angularly of the printing drum so that some of the characters in one line will be printed responsive to one driving projection and the other characters in the one line will be printed in response to the other driving projection section.

Impact printer

A line printer having a plurality of printing rings having characters on the peripheries thereof and coaxially arranged adjacent to each other on a driving shaft rotated in one and the same direction during each printing cycle with springs connected between the respective printing rings and the driving shaft so that the respective printing rings can be yieldably driven by the driving shaft through the springs and a movable roller pad adapted to abut against the printing rings at the predetermined printing position so that the selected character each of the printing rings temporarily held at the printing position during the rotation of the driving shaft is simultaneously printed on a sheet of paper held between the printing rings and the roller pad. The outer end each of the springs is supported by a stopper member having an engaging portion and secured to the driving shaft for rotation therewith while the inner end of each of the springs is held by the respective printing ring so that the respective printing ring is resiliently urged by the spring so as to cause the engaging portion of the respective stopper member to abut against an arresting portion of the respective printing ring thereby positioning the respective printing ring at the predetermined angular position with respect to the driving shaft. Thus, the desired character of each of the printing operation rings for the printing can be selected and positioned at the printing position by temporarily arresting selectively the respective printing ring by arresting means during the rotation of the driving shaft against the action of thespring.

A printer having a frame, a printing head and a platen, either one of the head and the platen is fixedly secured to the frame while the other is movably mounted on the frame by movable supports so that they are moved relatively toward and away from each other for the printing operation of a paper held therebetween when abutted against each other. The movable supports comprises a pair of supporting members each movably mounting other of the head and the platen independently from each other. Each of the supporting member is biased by a spring so as to urge the other of the head and the platen against the one of the head and the platen independently from each other. Thus, the parallel relationship between the head and the platen when abutted against each other for the printing operation is insured.

An electronic printer comprising a printing head having two straight grooves perpendicular to each other, a pin provided on a carriage and engageable with one of the two grooves, and a plate spring secured to the carriage and engageable with the other of the two grooves to hold the printing head on the carriage, in order to facilitate the attachment of the printing head on the carriage. The plate spring can also hold a flat cable connected to the printing head.
