A radiation diagnostic device wherein different kinds of picture image record media can be used and the performance is improved. The radiation diagnostic device which includes a photographing station in which radiograph information of an object for inspection is irradiated upon a picture image record medium to make radiation photographing of the object for inspection comprises a first storing station for storing therein first and second different picture image record media, a first transporting system for alternatively taking out one of first and second picture image record media from the first storing station and transporting the same to the photographing station, a second storing station for storing therein first and second picture image record media after photographing, and a second transporting system for transporting a first or second picture image record medium after photographing from the photographing station to the second storing station. With the radiation diagnostic device, the transporting systems are commonly used for first and second picture image record media.

A stimulable phosphor sheet stacking tray comprises a tapered section for aligning stimulable phosphor sheets at a predetermined position, which is positioned at least at an inner wall of one side end face of the stacking tray where a lower end portion of the stimulable phosphor sheet falling by the sheet weight passes through. Or, the stacking tray comprises a sheet holding member positioned for contact with upper ends of the stacked stimulable phosphor sheets between an inner wall of an upper end face of the stacking tray and the upper ends of the stacked stimulable phosphor sheets, and a system for moving, by operation from the exterior, the sheet holding member to and away from the stacked stimulable phosphor sheets. Or, the stacking tray is provided with a sheet fall preventing member comprising a stopper projectable from the center of a side end of the opening face of the stacking tray to the inside of the opening face to prevent the sheet falling, and a member for supporting and moving the stopper.

An apparatus for erasing fog in the form of environmentally induced radiation energy stored in a stimulable phosphor sheet used for radiation image recording and reproducing, wherein a radiation image is once recorded in the stimulable phosphor sheet and then read out and reproduced on a recording material. The apparatus includes a power supply to a lamp for emitting erasing light, and a power controller connected between the power source and the lamp for maintaining at a predetermined constant value the power supplied to the lamp, thereby to keep constant the luminance and color temperature of the lamp.

Noise erasing apparatus for stimulable phosphor sheet

A device for containing a radiation recording medium includes an opening through which the recording medium is placed and a light shutting plate for closing the opening to prevent light from penetrating into the casing. A light shutting plate is provided integral with a handle. A locking mechanism is provided for bringing a casing into locking engagement with the light shutting plate. Since the device is moved by holding the handle with the light shutting plate locked on the casing, there is no possibility that the film will be inadvertently exposed to light with the shutter plate left unclosed.

A bar code reader system for scanning light reflective bar coded labels, including a pivotably mounted spring based housing member having a connecting arm, a light source mounted on the housing member, and a line scan sensor mounted in the housing for sensing reflected light from the bar code label and producing coded signals corresponding thereto. Spring biasing of the housing urges the connecting arm against a plane parallel to the sheet having the bar code label to be read, with the housing pivoting about a pivot axis under spring biased urging, to maintain substantially constant the distance between the bar code label to be read and the line scan sensor.

A radiographic system for obtaining a visible radiation image using a stimulable phosphor sheet, including an improved spot shot apparatus having a transport system for transporting the stimulable sheets from a supply magazine to a receiving magazine through a park and exposure station where exposure to radiation occurs. A removable shutter is insertable in the receiving magazine to block the access opening, and maintains the light-tight environment when the magazine is inserted in and removed from the housing structure defining a spot shot apparatus.

The transport system has arcuate portions to cause the unexposed sheet feed from the supply magazine to turn with the phosphor layer thereof facing the radiation source during feed of the unexposed sheet to the exposure station and to cause the exposed sheet advanced from the exposure station to turn with the side thereof opposite the phosphor layer facing up during feed of the exposed sheet to the receiving magazine.

A main carriage has four wheels each of which is supported by a corresponding guide rail. The main carriage is reciprocated between a standby position and a photographing position along the guide rails through the wheels. The wheels engaged with the guide rails at the two sides of the apparatus housing are rotatably mounted at the main carriage. The wheel engaged with the edge of the main carriage at the side of a film convey mechanism is mounted on the main carriage to be movable along its moving direction (X direction). A guide plate is fixed on a main body of the main carriage, and a guide hole is formed in the guide rail to extend along the X direction. A pair of supports are engaged in the guide hole, and a support plate is fixed to the supports. A wheel is rotatably mounted on an end of the support plate. The support plate is biased by a tension spring in the retracting direction of the main carriage. When the main carriage is at the standby position, the support plate is moved in the advancing direction of the main carriage relative thereto since the wheel is stopped by a stopper. When the main carriage is at the photographing position, the support plate is projected in the retracting direction of the main carriage by the spring. The length of the guide rail can be shortened by a length corresponding to the moving distance of the support plate.
