An anisotropic light-diffusing film, an anisotropic light-diffusing laminate, and an anisotropic light-reflecting laminate are provided which are excellent in both light transmittance and diffusivity. Also provided are a lighting equipment and a display device which employ any of the film and laminates and are excellent in light-diffusivity and brightness and in economy, etc. The anisotropic light-diffusing film is a film formed by melt-extruding a mixture of at least two thermoplastic resins incompatible with each other. The film has parallel light ray transmittance of 20-85%, haze of 10-80%, glossiness of 10-70%, and ratio of the vertical-direction diffusivity to the horizontal-direction diffusivity of transmitted light of 1.3-6.0. The anisotropic light-reflecting laminate comprises a light reflector and the anisotropic light-diffusing film laminated over at least one surface of the reflector. In the laminate, diffusivity ratio, reflectivity and diffusivity of reflected light satisfy respective specific ranges.

The present invention is a process for producing a polyester-polycarbonate type thermoplastic polyester elastomer in which a hard segment consisting of a polyester constructed of aromatic dicarboxylic acid, and an aliphatic or alicyclic diol, and a soft segment consisting mainly of aliphatic polycarbonate are connected, comprising at least a step of increasing the molecular weight of an aliphatic polycarbonate diol by a reaction of an aliphatic polycarbonate diol and a chain extender, and a step of reacting aliphatic polycarbonate and a polyester constructed of aromatic dicarboxylic acid and an aliphatic or alicyclic diol in the molten state.

Process for producing polyester-polycarbonate type thermoplastic polyester elastomer and polyester-polycarbonate type thermoplastic polyester elastomer

The present invention provides a thermoplastic polyester elastomer excellent in heat resistance, heat-aging resistance, water resistance, light resistance, low-temperature property and the like, and further excellent in block order-retaining ability, the thermoplastic polyester elastomer comprising a hard segment which comprises polyester constituted with aromatic dicarboxylic acid and aliphatic or alicyclic diol and a soft segment which comprises mainly aliphatic polycarbonate, wherein the hard segment and the soft segment being connected, and wherein when melting points of the thermoplastic polyester elastomer are obtained by measuring on a differential scanning calorimeter in three cycles in which a temperature is raised from room temperature to 300&#xb0; C. at a heating rate of 20&#xb0; C./min., maintained at 300&#xb0; C. for 3 minutes and lowered to room temperature at a cooling rate of 100&#xb0; C./min., a melting point difference (Tm1&#x2212;Tm3) between a melting point obtained in the first cycle (Tm1) and a melting point obtained in the third cycle (Tm3) is 0-50&#xb0; C., and a tensile strength at break is 15-100 MPa.

A laminating film for a metal sheet, which comprises a thermoplastic resin and which is free of a pinhole having a diameter of not less than 0.1 mm .phi. at least in the portion laminated on the metal sheet, a metal sheet prepared by laminating this film, and a metal container formed from this metal sheet. The film of the present invention is superior in corrosion resistance, flavor resistance and printability. A layered polyamide film includes a polyamide substrate; and an adhesiveness-improving layer provided on at least one surface of the polyamide substrate. The adhesiveness-improving layer includes a graft copolymer of a polyester and an acrylic polymer. A method for producing such a layered polyamide film includes the step of applying an aqueous dispersion of the graft copolymer of the polyester and the acrylic polymer to at least one surface of the polyamide substrate to form an adhesiveness-improving layer and, if necessary, laminating a printing ink layer, an adhesive layer, and a sealant layer on adhesiveness-improving layer.

A polyester laminated film with excellent sealing ability is provided. The polyester laminated film comprises a base film of a polyester resin and a sealing film of a polyester composition, said sealing film being disposed on at least one side of said base film, wherein the sealing energy, which is measured when two pieces of said laminated films are joined together with the respective sealing films facing each other, is 300 g.cm/15 mm or more.

A void-containing polyester-type film is obtained by drawing a resin composition sheet consisting of a polyester, and a thermoplastic resin which is not compatible with the polyester in at least one direction. The film of this invention has a film base material consisting mainly of the polyester, fine particles consisting mainly of the thermoplastic resin which are dispersed into the film base material, and fine voids formed around the fine particles. The film of this invention has a surface layer having 3 .mu.m or more thickness, a void percentage of 4% by volume or less in an area having 3 .mu.m thickness from its surface, and an average void percentage of 8% by volume to 50% by volume. The film of this invention has excellent softeness, lightness, and hiding power, and excellent surface strength. The film can be used as a base material for a label, etc.

A thermoplastic laminated film that has satisfactory adhesiveness to hydrophilic polymers, hydrophobic polymers, and inorganic substances is provided. The film comprises a base film made of thermoplastic resin and a layer formed on at least one side of said base film, wherein said layer is made of a composition comprising (a) at least one selected from the group consisting of water-soluble resins, water-emulsifiable resins, and water-dispersible resins, and (b) an organic boron polymer or a mixture composed of an organic boron polymer and vinyl alcohol polymer.

Thermoplastic laminated film

A process for preparing a polyamide type film which comprises melt-extruding a polyamide resin having a metal compound and a melt specific resistance of not more than 1.5.times.10.sup.5 .OMEGA.cm at 260.degree. C. in a form of a film, contacting the melt-extruded film closely with a revolving cooling drum through static electricity and taking up the film while cooling rapidly to solidify, which provides remarkable improved adhesion by static electricity. As a result, increasing the take-up rate of the revolving cooling drum does not cause trapping of air between the drum and the film so that a film having excellent uniformity in thickness and transparency can be produced.

Process for preparing polyamide film

A thermo-shrinkable polyester film of this invention is obtained from a composition that comprises acid components including terephthalic acid and glycol components including ethyleneglycol. The polyester film has a heat-shrinkage ratio of 30% or more in a certain direction at 100.degree. C., and a shrinkage ratio of 5% or more at the point of intersection of a curve showing the internal shrinkage stress of the film and a curve showing the tensile stress of the film.
