There is provided an inter-relative rotating member relaying device which includes a first rotating unit having an inside cylinder section, a second rotating unit having an outside cylinder section which encircles the inside cylinder section with a predetermined distance and makes a relative rotation with respect to the inside cylinder, a flexible flat cable accommodated along within a ring-shaped space between the inside cylinder section and the outside cylinder section and having an inner peripheral end section held by the inside cylinder section and an outer peripheral end section held by the outside cylinder section, and a mobile unit provided movably along the space and for inverting the flexible flat cable at an opening section, wherein the first rotating unit has on its upper surface a flange for movably mounting the mobile unit on the flange, and the peripheral end section of the upper surface of the flange is formed at a lower level than a portion on which the mobile unit is mounted. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent a projection generated by contacts with other parts from interfering a flexible flat cable and to prevent a generation of abnormal noise.

Inter-relative rotating member relaying device

Bus bars are integrally fitted to a resin-made bus-bar holder by molding, conductor exposed sections of a flat cable and conductor exposed sections of wires are connected to these bus bars either by welding or by soldering, and the flat cable is inverted to the rear surface of the bus-bar holder and is sandwiched between the bus-bar holder and an under case. With this structure, a tensile force of the flat cable is not directly applied to the connection portion, and a connection structure of the flat cable with high reliability can be provided at low cost.

A relative rotary members relaying apparatus of the invention comprises, a rotary body having an internal cylindrical portion, a fixed body which surrounds the internal cylindrical portion with a predetermined distance and has an external cylindrical portion rotating relative to the internal cylindrical portion, a flexible flat cable stored along an annular space provided between the internal cylindrical portion and the external cylindrical portion, a lower cover for covering one side of the space in axial direction, and an upper cover for covering the other side of the space in axial direction which are fixedly mounted to the fixed body. A first radial clearance between the first cover and the first rotating body being configured to be different from a second radial clearance between the second cover and the rotary body.

Relative rotary members relaying apparatus

In one embodiment of the present invention, the automotive display apparatus has two concave mirrors arranged below the windshield in such a way that light from the display of an indicator which shows driving condition information such as car speed is reflected by one of the concave mirrors toward the other concave mirror, which then reflects the light toward the windshield that further directs it toward the driver's seat. A drive can thus see a remotely formed virtual display image within a viewing field of the windshield. The first concave mirror, which directly receives light from the indicator and reflects it toward the second concave mirror, is mounted on a plane mirror in such a manner that it can be moved into or out of a light path that extends from the indicator to the second concave mirror. When the first concave mirror is in the light path, the display image is magnified and hence the virtual display image is formed at a remote position from the driver. When the first concave mirror is moved out of the light path, the light is simply reflected by the plane mirror and not magnified so that the virtual display image is formed at a position closer to the driver than the first position. The virtual image position is changed according to the car speed. Other embodiments of the invention include mounting the automotive display apparatus on the ceiling of the vehicle.
