A mixable multi-functional composition for application to keratin fibers such as hair, lashes or brows comprising at least one volatile solvent, at least one siloxane resin, at least one montmorillonite mineral, optionally at least one non-volatile oil, and optionally at least one wax; and a method for coloring keratin fibers comprising the steps of sequentially applying to the fibers, in any order, at least one mixable composition and at least one pigmented composition, wherein upon application the mixable composition mixes and combines with the pigmented composition in the wet state to form a final mixed composition that upon drying forms a compatible and homogeneous film.

Mixable multi-functional product and process for keratin fibers

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing a unique polymer blend, which includes: (a) a first polymeric film-former having a first glass transition temperature ranging from about &#x2212;20&#xb0; C. to about 0&#xb0; C.; (b) a second polymeric film-former having a second glass transition temperature that is at least 50&#xb0; C. higher than the first glass transition temperature; and (c) a third cross-linked polymeric film-former. The cosmetic composition of the present invention can be applied to human skin or keratinous fibers for forming a film thereon with exceptionally long wearability, reduced flaking and smudge properties, and good removability by warm water.

Cosmetic composition containing a polymer blend

The present invention relates to a re-applicable mascara composition containing a unique combination of a chemically modified wax and a polymeric film former including a copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone and aminoacrylates. The mascara composition of the present invention can be readily re-applied to eyelashes hours after the initial application to increase the lash volume, without the discomfort and clumping commonly caused by attempts to re-apply mascara to already-coated eyelashes.
