Photoinitiator mixture comprising at least one alpha-amino ketone compound; and at least one compound of the Formula (I) or (I') wherein Rand R&#x2032;for example are hydrogen, C-Ccycloalkyl or C-Calkyl Rand R&#x2032; for example are hydrogen; unsubstituted C-Calkyl or substituted C-Calkyl; and Rand Rfor example are hydrogen, C-Calkyl which optionally is substituted, or phenyl which optionally is substituted; exhibit an unexpectedly good performance in photopolymerization reactions.

The invention pertains to high-molecular photoinitiator compounds comprising a photoactive moiety Q and an amine functionality, preferably a tertiary amino group, where the photoactive moiety Q is a benzoyl photoactive moiety.

Macrophotoinitiators

Photoinitiator compounds comprising both a photoactive moiety and an amine functionality, bonded to a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane, which photoinitiator is represented by formula (1) or (1') wherein n is 2m; m is an integer of 2 to 30; the sum of n&#x2032;+a is an integer 4-60; n&#x2032; is an even-numbered integer; a is an even- or uneven-numbered integer; and for example different A C-Calkyl, or a photoactive moiety Q1, or a group of formula (2); E for example is a direct bond, L is linear or branched C-Calkylene, preferably propylene; Rand Rfor example are a photoactive moiety Q, or Calkyl; Q is for example a group of formula (4); Zis for example C-Calkylene which is unsubstituted or substituted by one or more OR; and R, R, Rand Rfor example are hydrogen; are especially suitable as low-migrating photoinitiators. 

Silsesquioxane photoinitiators

The invention pertains to novel oligofunctional photoinitiators of the formula (1) or (1A). Rand Rare methyl or together are &#x2014;(CH)&#x2014;; and n is 2 or 3, and the solvent in (1A) is water or an organic solvent; and their use in photopolymerizable compositions, in particular inks. 

Oligofunctional photoinitiators

Photoinitiators mixture comprising (i) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of alpha-hydroxy ketones, monoacylphosphine oxides, bisacylphosphine oxides, ketosulfones, benzil ketals, benzoin ether, phenylglyoxylates, borates and titanocenes; and (ii) at least one compound of the formula (I) or (I') R, R&#x2032;, Rand R&#x2032; R&#x2032;independently of each other for example are hydrogen or C-Calkyl R, R, R, R&#x2032;and R&#x2032;independently of each other for example are hydrogen, C-Calkyl which optionally is substituted or phenyl which optionally is substituted, exhibit excellent photoinitiating properties. 

The present invention provides organometallic latent catalyst compounds, which are suitable as catalysts in polyaddition or polycondensation reactions which are catalysed by a Lewis acid type catalyst, in particular for the crosslinking of a blocked or unblocked isocyanate or isothiocyanate component with a polyol or polythiolto form a polyurethane (PU).

Photolatent catalysts based on organometallic compounds

The present application provides a composition showing a color change depending on the absorbed radiation-dose, comprising (a) an acid responsive colorant; (b) a photolatent acid; characterized in that (b) is a sulfonyloxime ester compound; and its use as a radiation dose indicator.
