In one embodiment, an in-wall dock for a tablet computer includes a rotatable receiving tray to which a tablet computer is secured. A housing of the in-wall dock is at least partially disposed within a wall cavity of a wall. The receiving tray is rotatably mounted to the housing. The receiving tray is configured to rotate from a first orientation disposed at an acute angle to a front face of the housing to permit engagement of the tablet computer with the receiving tray, to a second orientation that is substantially parallel to the front face of the housing and that prevents removal of the tablet computer from the receiving tray. A lock down mechanism retains the receiving tray in the second orientation. A removable bezel covers at least a portion of a front face of the housing and a front face of the tablet computer.

The switch has a passive section and an active section or tray that may be docked to the passive section. The passive section contains only the physical interfaces to the switch's external data and telephony networks and power input. It is not intended to be a field replaceable unit and is therefore intended to be mounted in a rack system with all of the power and communications cables attached thereto. The telephony and data ports are routed from the passive section to the active section via connectors on the two sections as well as to a redundancy connector on the passive section that may be physically connected by a cable to a slave unit in a redundant application. The active section or tray contains all of the active components of the switch and is inserted via guides into the passive section. The tray is considered a field replaceable unit and can be inserted into and extracted from the passive section while the system is powered up and operational. As a result of its unique two-section design, the present switch has several advantages. For example upon failure, all active components of the system may be replaced without removing the mounting hardware from the rack in which the switch is mounted and without removing any cables connected to the switch. Also when the switch is part of a redundant system, when the switch fails, all of the active components of the switch may be replaced without interrupting system operations.

A telecommunications switch chassis includes a housing which is divided into front and rear compartments by a transverse printed circuit board or mid-plane. Notches are provided in the upper edges of the mid-plane which are adapted to receive tabs projecting from the ends of a pair of card guides so that the card guides are supported on edge in proper laterally spaced relation within the front compartment. The card guides are formed with columns of slots whose edges are deformed to form slides interleaved with the slots so that the card guides can support a stack of printed circuit cards in vertical spaced relation within the front compartment, the spaces between the cards being aligned with the slots in the card guides. Card connectors are mounted to the printed circuit board, the connectors being aligned with the slides of the card guides so that when printed circuit cards are seated in the slides, end connectors on those cards mate with the corresponding connectors on the mid-plane so that reliable electrical connections via the mid-plane are made between all of the cards in the chassis. The chassis also includes a fan module in the front compartment which directs high pressure air across the front compartment between the printed circuit cards therein which air flows rearwardly into the rear compartment and between similarly stacked printed circuit cards in the rear compartment following a generally U-shaped path through the housing so that all electrical components on all of the cards are cooled properly.
