Method for the synthesis of a copolymer, copolymer, rubber mixture, and use thereof

The invention relates to a sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture, in particular for rubber-coating reinforcements in elastomer products, especially in vehicle tires, or inner components of vehicle tires, as well as to a vehicle tire. Raft agent, polymerization method, polymer, rubber mixture, and use thereof

Disclosed are sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixtures for the base of treads having a cap/base construction of vehicle tires, and a vehicle tire comprising the sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixtures. The disclosed rubber mixture comprises: at least one diene rubber, 15 to 55 phr of at least one filler, at least one hydrocarbon resin comprising 25% to 100% by weight of aromatic monomers, having a softening point according to ASTM E 28 (ring and ball) of 70&#xb0; C. to 130&#xb0; C., and 0 phr of further plasticizers, that is, the sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture is free from further plasticizers.

Rubber mixture and vehicle tires

A sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture, in particular for pneumatic vehicle tires, straps, belts, and hoses, is disclosed which exhibits, among other things, improved rolling resistance behavior. The rubber mixture contains at least the following constituents: 5 to 95 phr of at least one styrene-butadiene rubber, which is functionalized with phthalocyanine groups and/or hydroxy groups and/or epoxy groups and/or silane-sulfide groups and the styrene content of which is 0 to 12 wt % and which has a glass transition temperature (T) according to DSC of &#x2212;75 to &#x2212;120&#xb0; C. in the unvulcanized state, 5 to 95 phr of at least one further rubber, and 20 to 300 phr of at least one silica.

Sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture

A rubber mixture for vehicle tires which exhibits improved rolling resistance behavior and improved wear properties. Rubber mixture and vehicle tire

A rubber blend, particularly for pneumatic vehicle tires, harnesses, straps and hoses. The rubber blend includes at least one rubber blend A of a solid styrene-butadiene rubber with an average molecular weight Mof 100,000 to 5,000,000 g/mol and a liquid butadiene rubber with an average molecular weight Mof 500 to 9000 g/mol, wherein the styrene-butadiene rubber is solution-polymerized or emulsion-polymerized, as well as 30 to 300 phr of at least one silicic acid and further blend components.

Rubber blend with improved rolling resistance behavior

A process for producing polymer-functionalized filler particles and polymer-functionalized filler particles obtained by this process. The polymer-functionalized filler particles are used as additives for rubber mixtures. The polymers for functionalizing the filler particles are obtained in-situ starting from filler particles having a surface-bound RAFT agent. The binding of silyl-bearing RAFT agents and of Diels-Alder RAFT agents occurs via the R-group and the subsequent RAFT polymerization proceeds via a reactive site of the RAFT agent.

All these products benefit from the improved processability that is achieved with the invention in that the mixture comprises a polymer represented by the formula F1-A-F2, or a mixture of F1-A-F2 with an astral or radial coupling product of F1-A-units, coupled by a multivalent coupling agent; wherein F1 represents a terminal functionalization of the polymeric chain, F2 represents a terminal functionalization different from F1; and A represents the polymeric chain of a polymer formed by the copolymerization between one or more conjugated dienes with one or more aromatic vinyl monomers.
