A liquid crystal panel has a hole allowing light to pass through or to be shielded, and suppresses an influence on the light passing through the hole. A liquid crystal panel includes: a first substrate having a flat plate shape; a second substrate arranged to face the first substrate; a light shielding film spreading along an inner surface of the second substrate and having the hole formed therein; a plurality of spacers arranged on an outer side of a region between the substrates, the region corresponding to the hole; and a liquid crystal sandwiched between the first substrate and the second substrate. The second substrate is held such that a distance from the first substrate becomes larger as coming closer to the hole, and the portion corresponding to the hole has a shape protruding in a direction extending from the first substrate to the second substrate.

According to an aspect, a display device includes: a first substrate; a second substrate facing the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate; a light source disposed so that light is incident on a side surface of the first substrate or a side surface of the second substrate; a first electrode provided on the first substrate; and second electrodes provided on the second substrate. The liquid crystal layer includes polymer-dispersed liquid crystals including a polymer network formed in a mesh shape and liquid crystal molecules held in a dispersed manner in gaps of the polymer network. A plurality of first slits of the second electrodes that are provided for each pixel are arranged at predetermined intervals in a first direction, and the first slits extend in a second direction intersecting the first direction.

Display device

According to one embodiment, a camera module includes a liquid crystal panel, an image sensor and an optical system. The liquid crystal panel is configured to display a coded aperture pattern. The optical system is interposed between the liquid crystal panel and the image sensor. The liquid crystal panel includes a liquid crystal layer containing liquid crystal molecules and dichroic dye molecules aligned following the liquid crystal molecules.

According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a first liquid crystal device, a second liquid crystal device, and a liquid crystal display panel, the first liquid crystal device including a first substrate including a first electrode thereon, a second substrate including a second electrode thereon, and a first cholesteric liquid crystal layer, the second liquid crystal device including a third substrate including a third electrode thereon, a fourth substrate including a fourth electrode thereon, and a second cholesteric liquid crystal layer, wherein the first liquid crystal device and the second liquid crystal device are stacked successively.

Liquid crystal display device

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate opposing the first substrate, a first spacer projecting from the second substrate towards the first substrate and including a distal end portion opposing the first substrate with a gap therebetween, a second spacer projecting from the second substrate towards the first substrate and in contact with the first substrate and an adhesive member adhering the distal end portion and the first substrate together. A total height of the first spacer and the adhesive member is the same as a height of the second spacer.
