Disclosed herein are various embodiments for implementing audio enhancements based on video detection. An embodiment operates by receiving an audio clip corresponding to a video clip to be output simultaneously. The video clip is classified as belonging to a video category. An enhancement of the audio clip is determined based on crowd-sourced responses to the video category. The audio clip is configured in accordance with the enhancement. The configured audio clip is provided to the audio output device to audibly output with the enhancement.

Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for a sound source with slit shaped waveguide. An example embodiment of the sound source includes a driver configured to receive audio signal current and generate pressurized air and a chamber coupled to the driver and configured to direct the pressurized air from the driver. The sound source further includes a slit shaped exit coupled to the chamber and configured to receive the pressurized air from the chamber and to emit sound waves.

An example embodiment of the sound source includes one or more drivers configured to receive an audio signal current and to generate pressurized air. The sound source further includes one or more chambers coupled to the one or more drivers and configured to direct the pressurized air from the one or more drivers. The sound source further includes an array of two or more slit shaped exits coupled to the one or more chambers and configured to receive the pressurized air from the one or more chambers and to emit sound waves. Disclosed herein are various embodiments for implementing audio enhancements based on video detection. An embodiment operates by receiving an audio clip corresponding to a video clip to be output simultaneously. A background of the video clip is detected. It is determined that the audio clip is to be output with one of wet sounds or dry sounds based on the detected background of the video clip. The audio clip is configured to enhance the determined one of wet sounds or dry sounds when the audio clip is output. The configured audio clip is provided to the audio output device to audibly output the configured audio clip with the enhanced wet sounds or dry sounds when the video clip is output.

Embodiments included herein generally relate to managing low frequencies of an output signal. For example, a method may include: measuring a sound pressure level (SPL) of a speaker; dynamically selecting a cutoff frequency for operating a first filter configured to provide a first bass component of a bass element of an output signal and a second filter configured to provide a second bass component of the bass element; providing the cutoff frequency to the first filter to configure the first filter to generate the first bass component based on the cutoff frequency; providing the cutoff frequency to the second filter to configure the second filter to generate the second bass component based on the cutoff frequency; and generating an output signal based on at least one of the first and second bass components.

Managing low frequencies of an output signal

System, method, and various embodiments for providing a speaker audio configuration system are described herein. An embodiment operates by identifying an external speaker connected to an audio device. Second capability information for the external speaker is retrieved and user input indicating a relative position of the external speaker to the internal speaker is received. An audio configuration for the external speaker is calculated based on the second capability information and the relative position of the external speaker. The calculated audio configuration is provided to the external speaker. The external speaker is configured to receive and audibly output audio from the audio device based on the audio configuration.

Disclosed herein are computer-implemented method, system, and computer-readable storage-medium embodiments for implementing sound generation with adaptive directivity. An embodiment includes at least one computer processor that may retrieve and process an audio sample of a content instance, via an algorithm configured to generate a classification of the audio sample. Directivity may be determined, corresponding to a first audio signal to be output via an audio output device. The first audio signal may correspond to the audio sample of the content instance, and the audio output device may include at least one loudspeaker, for example. A second audio signal may be generated from the classification and the directivity. In some embodiments, another classification of the audio sample may be generated based at least in part on a second algorithm that may process information including a video image corresponding to the audio sample and/or additional audio characteristic(s) detected in the audio sample.

Sound generation with adaptive directivity

System, method, and various embodiments for providing a speaker normalization system are described herein. An embodiment operates by identifying a plurality of speakers connected to an audio device, wherein the audio device includes an internal speaker for which first capability information is known. Second capability information of each of the plurality of speakers is retrieved. User input indicating a relative position of each speaker is received. An audio configuration is calculated based on the second capability information and the relative position of each of the plurality of speakers. The calculated audio configuration is provided to each of the plurality of speakers, wherein each of the plurality of speakers is configured to receive and audibly output audio from the audio device based on the audio configuration.

Speaker normalization system

System, method, and various embodiments for providing a speaker normalization system are described herein. An embodiment operates by identifying a plurality of audio output devices connected to an audio source. For each audio output device, a set of technical capabilities and a relative position of the audio output device is identified. An audio configuration is calculated based on both the set of technical capabilities and the relative position of each audio output device, and which audio output devices are identified. The calculated audio configuration is provided to each identified audio output device. Audio is provided to each of the identified audio output devices.
