The present invention relates a method for traffic steering in a communication network comprising at least two technology layers. The method comprising utilizing one or more policies for traffic steering, selecting one or more users in a first technology layer according to the selected policies and preparing a movement of one or more selected users to a second technology layer. Method for traffic steering and network element

Methods, apparatus, and program products are disclosed. Network information is accessed that corresponds to network elements in one or more wireless networks. Each of the one or more networks has an ability to serve multiple user equipment. Customer data is accessed that corresponds to the multiple user equipment in the networks. One or more optimization insights are generated using the network information and the customer data. The one or more generated optimization insights are utilized as one or more inputs to one or more pre-defined business policy-based workflows for a purpose of determining one or set of optimization functions. Execution of one or more selected optimization functions is orchestrated and the optimization function(s) are supplied with one or more of the generated optimization insights. The execution of the selected optimization function(s) cause triggering of action(s) defined to influence a selected one of the networks to provide an intended result.

Insight based orchestration of network optimization in communication networks

Embodiments of the invention utilize advanced statistical data analytics to predict and provide recommendations for root-cause analysis for service access QoE issues in networks, such as 3G/4G networks. Using FCAPS data as predictor variables, embodiments are configured to set up the problem as a predictive regression or classification problem to estimate service access QoE related indicators. Some embodiments perform training and tuning of various non-linear statistical modelling algorithms, based for example on tree and ensemble methods, using network deregistration information from RAN logs.

A customized presence tag includes personalized data associated with a location of a mobile device. The method further comprises publishing () the customized presence tag related to the location data of the mobile device, when the customized presence tag is determined to be available for the location data. Moreover, the method comprises publishing () a default presence tag for the location data when a customized presence tag for the location data is determined to be unavailable.
