A stationary board adapted to be set up in a medial strip between traffic lanes to block lights of oncoming vehicles in the medial strip and facilitate identification of the medial strip in nighttime driving or riding. This stationary board comprises a pair of plate members each composed of a molded component made of a transparent plastic material, and the plate members are coupled with one another at the respective marginal edges thereof to form an integrated assembly having a hollow space therein. Each of the plate members is formed with irregularities in its inner surface facing the hollow space of the assembly. A top member molded of a plastic material is attached to the top portion of the assembly in a fitting manner. The plastic material of the top member contains a luminous pigment capable of absorbing, storing and emitting light. The stationary board of the present invention can bring out a function of facilitating identification of the medial strip in nighttime driving or riding as well as blocking lights of oncoming vehicles, while offering excellent aesthetic appearance.

A method of manufacturing a diffusion plate for use in a screen plate of projection TV is disclosed. The diffusion plate having a plurality of quadrangular pyramid protrusions almost over one side thereof is manufactured by means of injection molding process of plastic material. This method uses a first molding die having a first molding die surface, a pre-molding die capable of forming a first volume of molding cavity in matching with the first molding die, and a second molding die capable of forming a second volume of molding cavity smaller than the first volume in matching with the first molding die. The molding process comprises; a first step of, with matching the first molding die with the pre-molding die, injecting a molten plastic material from the injection port into the first volume of molding cavity formed between the first molding die and the pre-molding die; and the second step of, after completed the injection in the first step and before curing of the plastic material, releasing the first molding die from the pre-molding die and then matching the first molding die with the second molding die, wherein the plastic material injected in the first step is compressed in the second volume of molding cavity so as to mold the diffusion plate from the plastic material between the first molding die and the second molding die.

A writing board with an electronic calculator and a writing board to which an electronic calculator is installable. The writing board including a case member provided with an opening in a top surface of the case member, and a frame section surrounding the opening is formed on the top surface of the case member. A recording sheet including a microcapsule magnetic sheet is disposed in the case member with a top face of the recording sheet exposed through the opening of the case member. A magnetic member is used for writing on the recording sheet. The writing board further includes a magnetized erasing sheet which is positioned under the recording sheet in parallel with the recording sheet. A straw comprises a cylindrical plug member having an opening at a top thereof, and a straw member which vertically extends through a bottom portion of the plug member and which is retractable in the longitudinal direction of the straw member, wherein the straw is adapted to fit the plug member with a top of a mouth of a beverage container so as to retain in a state where the straw is inserted into the beverage container. The straw is also adapted to allow a top of the straw member to be protruded from the mouth of the beverage container by extending the straw member and to allow the top of the straw member to be contained within the plug member by retracting the straw member so as to attach a cap of the beverage container.

In a magnetically writable and erasable writing device for practice in writing characters, the writing device includes a case member provided with an opening in a top surface of the case member wherein a frame section surrounding the opening is formed on the top surface of the case member. A writing sheet includes a microcapsule magnetic sheet and is disposed on the case member so as to expose a top face of the writing sheet from the opening of the case member. A magnetic member for writing on the writing sheet and an erasing member which is positioned under the writing sheet and which has magnetism is included in the case member. The magnetic member put on the top face of the writing sheet enables writing and moving the erasing member along a back face of the writing sheet enables the written contents to be erased. The frame section of the top surface of the case member indicates a character model.

A straw including a straw member having an outer straw portion and an inner straw portion, the outer and inner straw portions being telescopingly fitted with each other, the inner straw portion including an elastic upper section, and a cylindrical plug member having an opening at the upper end thereof. The inner straw portion is retained in the state inserted into a beverage container by mounting the plug member to the upper end of a mouth of the beverage container, and the upper section of the inner straw portion is bent by pressing with a beverage container cap so as to attach the beverage container cap to the beverage container, and the upper end of the inner straw portion is protruded from the upper end of the plug member by detaching the beverage container cap.

A table or base for a telephone or the like includes an outer case, a recording sheet which is retractable within the outer case and which includes a microcapsule magnetic sheet, and an erasing magnetic member disposed within the outer case. The outer case has a top surface on which the telephone and other articles can be placed. The erasing magnetic member is positioned under the recording sheet when the inner case is pushed into the outer case. Thus, pulling out the recording sheet from the outer case enables a top face of the recording sheet to be magnetically written in, and pushing the recording sheet into the outer case enables the magnetic writing on the recording sheet to be erased.

The predetermined gap between the lens means and the image screen is defined in association with the pitch of the optical elements of the lens means such that an intensity of Moir&eacute; interference fringes caused by a periodicity of an arrangement of the pixels in the image screen and a periodicity of an arrangement of the optical elements of the lens means must not exceed 0.15 in an absolute value.

A magnetic head drum for a magnetic recording apparatus comprising a metallic ring of a predetermined thickness, and a support body of a plastic material formed in said metallic ring through an outsert forming process. The support body of the plastic material includes a peripheral ring-shaped portion, a central boss portion for receiving a rotating shaft and a web portion connecting the ring-shaped portion with the boss portion. A plurality of magnetic heads are provided on a periphery of the drum to rotate as a unit with the metallic ring. There is also disclosed a method for manufacturing the magnetic head drum through an injection molding process of a plastic material using a metallic ring of a predetermined thickness.

A process for coating a front surface of a cathode ray, the process being characterized by using a ultraviolet ray setting plastic material as a coating material. According to the process, a preformed cathode ray tube bulb having a front surface is maintained with the front surface directed upwards and a transparent, fluidized or molten plastic material of ultraviolet setting property is discharged to the front surface of the bulb through a plurality of thin nozzles arranged in at least one row or one or more nozzles each having an elongated nozzle opening. In this instance, it is preferable that the molten plastic material discharged from the nozzles is received by a film forming surface which is arranged adjacent to the nozzles to form a thin plastic film before it reaches the front surface of the bulb. Preferably, the film forming surface is provided by a sheet of a material, such as a silicon rubber, which is not wettable to the plastic material. The plastic material received by the film forming surface is permitted to flow downwards forming a thin substantially uniform film. The cathode ray tube bulb is moved beneath the film forming surface with the front surface directed upwards. Thus, the front surface of the bulb is coated with a thin film of the plastic material. During the process of forming the coating layer or immediately after the process, ultraviolet ray is applied to the coating layer to set or solidify the plastic material in the layer.
