A silicone polyether for use in forming a solid polymer electrolyte film, the silicone polyether comprising a heterocyclic moiety. The silicone polyether comprising the heterocyclic moiety may be used to provide an electrolyte composition suitable for use in an electrochemical device. The silicone polyether comprising a heterocyclic moiety may also be used to form a solid polymer electrolyte that may be used to form a solid polymer electrolyte film, which may be suitable for use in electrochemical devices.

Siloxane copolymer and solid polymer electrolyte comprising such siloxane copolymers

A functionalized siloxane network. The functionalized network comprises a ligand attached to the network. The ligand includes a pyridine-containing compound, and in one embodiment, the ligand includes a terpyridine compound. The functionalized siloxane network can be siloxane particles. The functionalized siloxane network can coordinate metal ions and can be used in luminescent articles.

Functionalized siloxane materials

A functionalized siloxane includes a ligand capable of coordinating a metal. The functionalized siloxane includes a pyridine-containing ligand attached to a siloxane polymer. The functionalized siloxanes can be employed to provide complexes including a metal that may impart a desired property to the polymer. In one embodiment, the polymer can complex lanthanide metals that are capable of phosphorescing upon exposure to UV irradiation. Such polymers can be employed to provide functional materials such as, for example, luminescent films, coatings, etc.

Siloxane coordination polymers

The present invention relates to silicone epoxy compositions, methods for making same and uses therefore. In one embodiment, the silicone epoxy ether compositions of the present invention are silane epoxy polyethers that contain at least one epoxy functionality. In another embodiment, the silicone epoxy ether compositions of the present invention are siloxane epoxy polyethers that contain at least one epoxy functionality. In still another embodiment, the present invention relates to silicone epoxy polyether compositions that are suitable for use as an electrolyte solvent in a lithium-based battery, an electrochemical super-capacitors or any other electrochemical device.

Silicone epoxy ether compositions, methods for making same and uses therefor

There is provided herein a composition which contains hydride-functionalized siloxane or silane, a hydroxyl-containing compound that does not contain silicon, and a catalytically-effective amount of super acid or super base catalyst selected from the group consisting of a triaza-containing compound which contains only carbon, nitrogen and hydrogen atoms, an atrane compound, a linear or branched compound containing a sulfonyl group and a fluoro group, and combinations thereof. There is also provided a process of making such a composition.

In one aspect, the present technology provides a process for the ring opening polymerization of a cyclosiloxane comprising contacting a cyclosiloxane with a bicyclic guanidine compound. The guanidine-containing compounds useful in the ring opening reaction include a fused ring structure comprising a guanidine functional group as part of the fused ring.

Compositions and methods for the production of siloxane materials using an azaphosphatrane as a catalyst. In one embodiment, there is provided a process for the ring opening polymerization of a cyclosiloxane in the presence of an azaphosphatrane. In another embodiment, there is provided a composition and method for condensation curing of a moisture curable composition using an azaphosphatrane.
