Embodiments of the disclosure relate to automatic switching of HMI (human-machine interface) screens based on process, task, and abnormal deviation in a power plant. According to one embodiment, a method is provided. The method can include monitoring one or more processes occurring during the operation of a turbine power plant in a steady state monitoring sequence, in which a plurality of overview screens are monitored, and at least one process state is determined. If the at least one process state indicates a predefined condition has occurred, at least one human interface screen can be presented to a user for troubleshooting, based at least in part on the severity of the predefined condition. If the determined process state does not indicate the predefined condition is present, and the at least one determined process state indicates an automated task sequence, the method present a sequence of preconfigured task screens to a user.

In one embodiment, a system includes system includes a data collection system configured to collect a data from a control system. The system further includes a configuration management system configured to manage a hardware configuration and a software configuration for the control system based on the data. The system additionally includes a rule engine configured to use the data as input and to output a health assessment by using a rule database configured to store at least one rule, and a report generator configured to provide a health assessment for the control system. The system also includes a rule editor configured to create the at least one rule, update the at least one rule, delete the at least one rule, or a combination thereof.

Systems and methods for rule-based control system reliability

A condition monitoring system including at least one computing device also includes a memory device configured to store data associated with a monitored device and at least one input channel that is configured to receive the data associated with the monitored device. The condition monitoring system further includes a processor coupled to the memory device and the at least one input channel. The processor is programmed to determine a potential fault condition by comparing at least a portion of the data associated with the monitored device with at least one scenario programmed therein. The at least one scenario is at least partially based on at least one predetermined event associated with at least one condition of the monitored device.
