Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for management of conditional handover (CHO) configurations. A source base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with one or more CHO configurations for multiple target base stations. The CHO configurations may provide, for each target base station, one or more associated conditions that may trigger the UE to initiate a handover to the particular target base station, or to deconfigure a CHO configuration, such as based on a measurement threshold of one or more target base station measurements, one or more source base station measurements, or combinations thereof. The CHO configurations may also include failure handling information for initiating one or more subsequent handovers responsive to a failure of an initial handover attempt.

In an aspect, the present disclosure includes a method, apparatus, and computer readable medium for wireless communications for receiving, by a relay user equipment (UE) from a remote UE, a remote UE radio resource control (RRC) message for establishing a relayed communication between the remote UE and a network entity via the relay UE; determining, by the relay UE, remote UE information associated with the remote UE for establishing a remote UE communication context between the relay UE and the network entity based on the remote UE RRC message; and transmitting, by the relay UE to the network entity, the remote UE RRC message and the remote UE information.

Techniques for multiplexing remote UE RRC messages in a wireless communication system

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a message indicating that the UE is to execute a make-before-break handover procedure. The UE may transmit, during the make-before-break handover procedure and based at least in part on a prioritization rule, a first uplink communication to a target base station. The prioritization rule may indicate a relative priority for different uplink communications included in a group of uplink communications. The group of uplink communications may include at least the first uplink communication to be transmitted by the UE to the target base station and a second uplink communication to be transmitted by the UE to a source base station during the make-before-break handover procedure. Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network entity may receive, from a relay node via a radio access link, information indicating a link layer identifier of the relay node associated with a relay service, wherein the relay node is associated with a radio access identifier. The network entity may configure a relay service with the relay node and a remote node using a mapping between the radio access identifier and the link layer identifier.
