A magnetic resonance system includes a magnet device, which is arranged in an outer housing and an inner housing located therein. A monitoring method includes determining a value of a vibration amplitude of the outer housing or an intermediate housing located between the inner housing and the outer housing at a vibration frequency; providing a transmission ratio between the vibration amplitude and the operating parameter at the vibration frequency; and determining a value of the operating parameter as a function of the determined value of the vibration amplitude by means of the transmission ratio.

Monitoring an MR magnet using vibrations

In a method and a magnetic resonance apparatus for generating movement information relating to an examination region of a patient, a reception circuit is provided that receives MR signals within a reception frequency range. An electromagnetic signal is generated that has a first frequency that is outside the reception frequency range of the reception circuit, and that interacts with at least some of the examination region, so the electromagnetic signal undergoes a modification. A modulated signal based on the modified first signal is generated that has a frequency within the reception frequency range. The modulated signal is transmitted to the reception circuit, and is forwarded to a computer, wherein movement information is determined based on the modulated signal.

The present embodiments relate to a device and a method for attenuating a high-frequency field of a magnetic resonance tomography system, where at least one attenuation element attenuating high-frequency fields is provided outside a magnetic resonance tomography field of view.

HF attenuation

A waveguide antenna assembly for a magnetic resonance tomography apparatus, particularly a waveguide antenna assembly that can be detuned for an operation with local coils, is composed of multiple metal surfaces connected by diodes respectively located between the metal surfaces. Only when the diodes are through-connected between these metal surfaces are the surfaces connected with one another in terms of RF signals via these diodes, so the assembly operates as a waveguide antenna. When the diodes are disabled between these metal surfaces, the surfaces are unconnected with one another for RF signals.

In a method for adjustment of a B1 field in a magnetic resonance apparatus, the position of the measurement subject relative to a coordinate system is determined from a plurality of measurement subjects with a morphological magnetic resonance measurement. Respective tissue types of the measurement subject are determined using three-dimensional measurement subject data and a segmentation of the measurement subject into regions is effected using the tissue types having known dielectric properties. The segmentation and the association for all positions of the measurement subject are recorded for all subjects in respective entries of a database. A radio-frequency simulation for transmission coils is implemented with the entries of the database wherein electrical field distributions and/or B1 field distributions related to spatial elements are determined and are entered as results into the database, that is then used further magnetic resonance examinations.

Method for adjustment of a B1 field of a magnetic resonance apparatus

In a method and device for monitoring the physiologically effective radio-frequency exposure in at least one specific volume region of an examination subject in a magnetic resonance data acquisition scan in a magnetic resonance system, amplitude values are acquired that respectively represent, at specific acquisition points in time, a signal amplitude of the radio-frequency signals emitted or to be emitted via the radio-frequency signal channels. Also, phase values are acquired that represent the phases of the appertaining radio-frequency signals at these points in time. Local exposure values are then determined on the basis of the amplitude values and phase values, respectively representing a physiological exposure that the radio-frequency pulses cause at the examination subject at a specific location at a specific time. Based on this, exposure control values are determined that are compared with predetermined exposure limit values. When an exposure limit values is reached or exceeded, a control signal is output.

A head coil for a magnetic resonance apparatus has a mirror device for the stimulation of one or both eyes with first light in a first wavelength range and for simultaneous acquisition of a eye movement with second light in a second wavelength range in a functional magnetic resonance examination. The mirror device has a mirror that reflects the first light and is transmissive for the second light or that is transmissive for the first light and reflects the second light.

For improving the spectral resolution and/or the signal-to-noise ratio of a nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus for examining first types of atomic nuclei that are nuclear-magnetically coupled to second types of atomic nuclei, signals are additionally emitted on the resonant frequency of the second type of atomic nucleus during the examination of the first type of atomic nucleus. To this end, the nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus includes a reception channel and only one transmission channel for both resonant frequencies. The transmission channel contains a respective synthesizer for each resonant frequency, which define the transmission frequency and contains a modulator unit shared in common by both resonant frequencies.
