The processing application includes numerous jobs for performing processing operations on computing objects. Whereas previous systems log job information on a per job basis, the apparatus and method includes generating application messages. These application messages are generated based on events in the operation of the application and the messages include predefined event information. The application messages are processing and filtered by a central logging device, which may be in response to customization properties. From this central logging device the filtered messages are centrally stored in an application log database, thereby providing a central depository and formatting of previously incongruent job-specific logging data.

A system, method, and computer-readable medium having instructions thereon for executing a method for providing object-oriented content-based exception handling in business software applications are provided. An embodiment provides for handling an exception based on both the context of a process step in a process chain of a business software application, as well as the specific content of the process. An embodiment includes the use of a database to associate content information with desired responses, in order to further automate exception handling. For those exceptions which cannot be handled in an automatic fashion, then manual intervention is requested.

Computer-implemented methods, computer systems and computer program products are provided for parallel processing a plurality of data objects with a plurality of processors. As disclosed herein, the data objects to be assembled for further processing may be in bundles, the bundles obeying first predefined criteria, which is dynamically controlled by using a bundle specific master table.
