An optical sight for a firearm can be provided with multiple light sources for illuminating one or more aiming marks on the sight. The light sources may be multiple LEDs, e.g. of different colors that can provide illumination in different lighting conditions. The lights sources may also be physical process driven light sources, such as a Gaseous Tritium Light Source (GTLS). A combination of LEDs and GTLS may also be used. The light sources may be disposed at multiple focal points of a multi-lens system. Alternatively, a selector may be used to selectively locate one of the light sources at the focal point of a single lens system. The optical sight may be a reflex sight, e.g. for a handgun, or may be a riflescope for a rifle.

Dual illumination optical sight

A lighting element for a firearm or sight with a gaseous tritium light source and with an injection-molded plastic housing, wherein the plastic housing at least partially encloses the gaseous tritium light source. High mechanical ruggedness can be achieved if the plastic housing at least partially consists of a polyamide 12 (PA12)-based or polycarbonate (PC)-based plastic.

Lighting element for a firearm or sight

A safety selector assembly for retrofitting a manual firearm safety of a firearm and a safety selector lever for the manual firearm safety. So that the safety and/or fire mode of the firearm can be clearly read, the invention proposes for the opacity of the head section to be interrupted by at least one see-through region between the front side and back side positioned eccentrically to the rotation axis in order to thus enable visibility of at least one safety marking of the manual firearm safety.

Safety selector lever for a manual firearm safety

A gaseous tritium light source (GTLS), which has a hermetically sealed outer sleeve made of glass, more particularly borosilicate glass. A high durability and lighting intensity is produced due to the fact that at least some sections of the outer sleeve have an outer coating applied directly to the outer surface of the outer sleeve serving as a reflective layer made of a metal, wherein the outer coating has an epitaxial structure and wherein the metal has a reflectance of >70% for visible light.

Gaseous tritium light source

A lighting element with a gaseous tritium light source and an elongated plastic housing that at least partially encloses the gaseous tritium light source with its housing shell and forms a latching element that snaps together with the gaseous tritium light source, which can be inserted into the plastic housing, and holds it in the plastic housing. A rugged lighting element can be produced if the latching element is formed by at least one catch element, which catch element has a radially sprung flexible spring and at least one, preferably two, inwardly oriented snaps with an indentation for snapping together with the gaseous tritium light source.

Lighting element

A folding knife and related method include actuating elements for locking or unlocking the blade of the knife. The actuating elements are permanently illuminated or backlit so that the actuating elements are more clearly visible in low light conditions and can therefore be safely operated. Such features for knife applications may provide advantages for particular activities where knives are commonly used, such as for law enforcement and hunting.
