The invention relates to a self-assembled monolayer comprising fluoroalkyl chains FC&#x2014;(CF)&#x2014;(CH)&#x2014; of differing length, wherein m is an integer of from 3 to 36, n is an integer of from 0 to 40, and m in the longer fluoroalkyl chain is larger than m in the shorter fluoroalkyl chain by at least 2, preferably by at least 8. The molar ratio of the longer fluoroalkyl chains to the shorter fluoroalkyl chains is from 1:9 to 9:1.

The invention relates to a method for producing an ultraphobic surface on aluminium as the supporting material and to the resulting surface and its use. According to said method, the surface of an aluminium support is anodized, especially by anodic oxidation, and/or electrochemically pickled in an acid solution with an alternating voltage, treated in hot water or water vapor at a temperature of 50 to 100&deg; C., optionally coated with an adhesion promoter layer and then provided with a hydrophobic or especially oleophobic coating.

Composite material comprising polyurethane and at least one thermoplastic plastics material, a process for the production thereof and the use thereof in motor vehicles

The present invention relates to composite materials made of at least one composite layer of a polyurethane and of a second composite layer which is directly bonded to the first layer and which consists of a thermoplastic material that is different from the polyurethane of layer A). The polyurethane material of layer A) is characterized by a residual content of free reaction components containing ether groups of no more than 400 ppm, and preferably of no more than 100 ppm. The invention also relates to a process for the production of these composite materials and to a method of their use as materials in motor vehicles.
