Methods of three-dimensional printing can include iteratively applying a polymer build material as individual layers to a powder bed, where the polymer build material includes from about 80 wt % to 100 wt % polymer build particles, and based on a three-dimensional object model, selectively applying a binder agent including an aqueous liquid vehicle and polymer binder particles onto the individual layers of the polymer build material. The polymer binder particles have or are capable of having a melting temperature lower than a melting temperature of the polymer build particles. The methods can include exposing the powder bed to heat at a temperature less than a melting point of the polymer build particles but greater than a melting temperature of the polymer binder particles. The heat causes the polymer binder particles to melt to adhere the polymer build particles together to form a three-dimensional object.

According to one aspect, there is provided a method of selectively solidifying successive layers of build material in a 3D printing system. The method comprises obtaining data relating to a 3D object to be generated, forming a layer of build material on a build platform, applying to the formed layer a pattern of fusing agent corresponding to a portion of the layer to be solidified to form a layer of the object, applying to the formed layer a pattern of anti-caking agent on portions of the formed layer that are not to be solidified to form a layer of the object, and applying energy to the whole of the formed layer to cause portions of the layer on which fusing agent was applied to heat up, melt, coalesce, and then solidify upon cooling, and to cause portions of the formed layer on which anti-caking agent was applied to control caking of build material in those portions.

Reducing caking of build material

A process of configuring a web-fed printer is disclosed. Parameters for a web of printable media used in the web-fed printer and for print density are received. The parameters are applied to determine tension of the printable media and speed of the printable media through a print engine of the web-fed printer.

Web-fed printer configuration

A web press includes a web travel path for a continuous media web between a first nip and a second nip. The web travel path includes a first portion in which the web moves in a first direction and which includes a first printer configured to print on a first side of the web. The web travel path also includes a second portion in which the web moves in a second direction, with second portion including a second printer configured to print on a second side of the web. The web travel path is configured to control a drying time via the respective first and second portions being in a generally parallel, vertically stacked relationship and with each respective first and second portion extending in a generally horizontal orientation.

A display system includes a display device and a data processing module. The display device is configured to display an image and has a processing profile associated therewith. The data processing module is remote from and operatively coupled to the display device and is configured to receive input image data for the image to be displayed and generate processed image data from the input image data based on the processing profile of the display device.

A method and apparatus for calibrating color in an inkjet printing system initiates a calibration procedure by instructing an inkjet printer to print a color calibration sample. From the color calibration sample, an analysis is performed to select a color calibration based on the sample. Based on the characteristics of the selected color calibration, the color of the inkjet printer is calibrated.
