A method and a device are described for starting an internal combustion engine of a hybrid drive train, having an internal combustion engine and at least one additional machine, in particular an electric machine, a separating clutch, which is situated between the internal combustion engine and the additional machine, and a crankshaft angle sensor for detecting the instantaneous crankshaft angle of the internal combustion engine being provided. Arrangements are provided to perform the following operations to start the internal combustion engine when a high-voltage battery is essentially discharged, including a) the separating clutch is or has already been disengaged, b) the additional machine is accelerated, c) after conclusion of the acceleration operation of the additional machine, the separating clutch is engaged, so that the internal combustion engine is also accelerated, d) as soon as the crankshaft angle sensor system supplies a favorable crankshaft angle, the internal combustion engine is started by direct start.

Method and device for starting an internal combustion engine of a hybrid drive train

A method for setting operating states of an internal combustion engine, in particular an internal combustion engine of a hybrid drive. In addition to the internal combustion engine, the hybrid drive includes at least one electric drive, a hybrid coordinator and a control unit assigned to the internal combustion engine in which functions are implemented. The functions request operating states favorable to their running ability from the hybrid coordinator which performs a commensurate modification of the distribution of power between the internal combustion engine and the at least one electric drive.

An electric machine, particularly a generator for motor vehicles, includes a housing and a casing enclosing the housing concentrically, the casing, together with the housing, bounding an annular space that is sealed in a fluid-tight manner and is connected to a coolant outflow and a coolant inflow. To achieve a uniform circumflow of the housing with sufficient cooling capacity, even given low volumetric flow of the coolant, a plurality of axial guide bars are arranged in the annular space, so that the coolant restrictedly flows in an axially wide-strip manner through the annular space within space segments arranged in a row in the circumferential direction, with an opposing flow direction in successive space segments.
