A first diaphragm which forms a wall of a first pump chamber is provided in the double diaphragm pump according to the invention, wherein the first diaphragm can be moved by means of a first driving means. In addition, a second diaphragm which forms a wall of a second pump chamber is provided, wherein the second diaphragm can be moved by means of a second driving means. What is more, a control for the driving means is provided, said control being designed and operable such that it controls the two driving means subject to one or a plurality of conditions.

At the rear end, the powder cup spray gun has an injector, a powder cup and a receptacle for the powder cup. The powder inlet of the injector is connected to the receptacle. The powder cup and the receptacle are designed in such a way that the powder cup can be fitted into the receptacle. In addition, a grip with a connection for conveying air, a connection for atomising air, and a connection for metering air is provided. The connection for the conveying air and the connection for the metering air are connected to the injector via lines running in the grip.

In a piston pump () having a differential piston () positioned in a cylindrical housing () and translationally drivable, a first pressure chamber () of the differential piston () is connectable to a second pressure chamber () via a check valve () inserted into a connecting line (), and to a storage reservoir () via an inlet valve (). The differential piston () is provided with a dipping piston () attached to a piston rod (). In addition, a pass-through () of the piston rod () from the first pressure chamber () is closed fluid-tight by seals (), and a transport line () is positioned laterally offset from or concentric to the piston rod () in the vicinity of the pass-through () of the latter.

In a diaphragm pump apparatus having a first chamber and a second chamber divided from the first by a movable diaphragm, the diaphragm comprises on both sides annular surfaces, whereby the annular surface is rounded out and goes over into a conically tapering thickened area and the other annular surface is provided with a concavely curved rounded-out portion incorporated into the thickened area of the diaphragm. By means of this design it is achieved that even highly viscous media can be pumped with the diaphragm pump apparatus, that the diaphragm has a long lifespan and that trouble-free operation of the diaphragm pump apparatus is ensured.
