A valve drive includes a transfer arrangement with an intermediate lever arrangement having a first roller element and an intermediate lever, and a drag lever arrangement having a drag lever. The first roller element is connected to a circumferential contour of a camshaft. The intermediate lever includes a second roller element and a working curve connected to the drag lever. A slotted guide is provided for the intermediate lever arrangement which is engaged by a guide roller element. A torsion spring element with first and second ends engages the intermediate lever arrangement. The first end rests on the cylinder housing portion. The second end acts on a counter bearing rigidly connected with the intermediate lever. The first and second roller element axes are arranged to introduce a force into the intermediate lever which presses the guide roller element against the slotted guide and the first roller element against the camshaft.

Mechanically controllable valve drive

A spring arrangement for a variable valve drive of an internal combustion engine includes an intermediate lever, a control shaft, a control shaft roller, a working cam contour, and a spring element. The intermediate lever comprises a contact surface, a camshaft roller which bears against a camshaft, and a slot roller which bears against a slotted guide. The control shaft roller is arranged on the intermediate lever to face away from the slotted guide. The control shaft roller bears against the control shaft. The working cam contour is formed at an end of the intermediate lever opposite the camshaft roller. The spring element comprises a force component on the contact surface in the direction of the camshaft and the slotted guide, and an end leg. The spring element loads the camshaft roller against the camshaft and the slot roller against the slotted guide. The end leg bears against the contact surface.

Spring arrangement for a variable valve drive of an internal combustion engine

A mechanically controllable valve drive arrangement includes gas exchange valves each having cylinders associated therewith, a camshaft comprising a peripheral contour, a bearing, an adjusting lever comprising a first end and a second end, a valve lift adjustment device comprising a control shaft which acts on the first end, and a transmission arrangement associated with a respective gas exchange valve. The adjusting lever is supported in the bearing. Each transmission arrangement comprises at least one intermediate lever arrangement comprising an engagement element, and an intermediate lever comprising a working cam, and at least one pivot lever arrangement comprising a pivot lever. The working cam is operatively connected to the pivot lever. The intermediate lever is operatively connected to the peripheral contour. The engagement element is operatively connected to the valve lift adjustment device. The second end of the adjusting lever is operatively connected to the engagement element.

Mechanically controllable valve drive arrangement

A valve train assembly for an engine comprising cylinders, each comprising a gas inlet and a gas outlet valve. A camshaft comprises a peripheral contour. A valve stroke adjusting device comprises a control shaft comprising control contours. An intermediate lever arrangement comprises an intermediate lever comprising a working curve which cooperates with a swivel lever, and an engagement element connected to a control contour. Each intermediate lever is connected to the peripheral contour. A transmission arrangement provides that an intermediate lever arrangement and a swivel lever arrangement is associated with each gas inlet valve. A control contour for an idle range is similar to a control contour for a full-load range. A control contour for a part-load range of a gas inlet valve of a shut-off cylinder comprises a section different to a control contour for a part-load range of the gas inlet valve of a remaining cylinder.

Mechanically controllable valve train assembly, internal combustion engine and method for operating an internal combustion engine

An intermediate lever arrangement for a mechanically-controllable valve drive arrangement, includes a pivot lever arrangement. At least one intermediate lever(s) comprising a working cam is configured to be in an operative connection with the pivot lever arrangement. A bearing shaft is arranged on the at least one intermediate lever(s). An engagement element comprising a circumferential point is mounted in the at least one intermediate lever(s) arrangement so as to rotate about an axis of rotation. A fixing device is arranged on the bearing shaft. The fixing device is configured to fix the engagement element in a defined position. A device is configured so that the circumferential point of the engagement element, upon a rotation by an angle &#x3b1;, describes a curved shape which deviates from an arc of a circle.

A mechanically controllable valve drive includes a gas exchange valve on which a transmission arrangement acts via a working contour. The transmission arrangement comprises a first wheel element comprising a toothing which is connected to a camshaft, and a second wheel element comprising a toothing which acts on the gas exchange valve. The transmission arrangement is mounted to move in a cylinder head via a bearing, and is operatively connected to the camshaft and to a valve stroke adjusting device comprising an adjusting shaft. The first and second wheel elements are each mounted to rotate on the adjusting shaft and to be in a geared connection with each another via their respective toothing so that a rotation of the adjusting shaft effects a phase shift between the first and second wheel elements and so that a rotary fixing generates an oscillating movement of the first and second wheel elements.

Mechanically controllable valve drive and mechanically controllable valve drive arrangement

A mechanically controllable valve-train assembly includes a plurality of gas exchange valves, at least two cylinders assigned to each of the gas exchange valves, and valve-lift adjusting devices which each comprise a rotatable eccentric shaft. The eccentric shaft comprises at least one cam element and circumferential control surfaces which comprise at least one eccentric member. The eccentric shaft is driven by a drive device to set various valve-lift positions. A transmission assembly assigned to each of the gas exchange valves is mounted in a cylinder head via a bearing device so as to be movable and is operatively connected to one of the valve-lift adjusting devices and to a camshaft. The at least one cam element is operatively connected to a spring-loaded tappet element and is arranged outside the circumferential control surfaces and at a level of a zero-lift position of the circumferential control surfaces.

A method for operating an exhaust gas mass flow sensor which is used, in particular, in exhaust gas mass flows of motor vehicles has an operating mode and a cleaning mode. In an operating mode, the exhaust gas mass flow sensor is operated at an operating temperature. In a cleaning mode, the exhaust gas mass flow sensor is changed over for the purpose of cleaning a measurement region and is cleaned at a cleaning temperature which is higher than the operating temperature.

Method for operating an exhaust gas mass flow sensor

A device for phase-shifting a rotational angle of a drive wheel relative to an output shaft. The device includes a planetary gear including a sun wheel, a hollow wheel and at least one planet wheel, wherein the sun wheel and the hollow wheel mesh with the at least one planet wheel. A planet wheel carrier having the at least one planet wheel is arranged thereon and is fixedly connected to the output shaft so as to commonly rotate with the output shaft. A drive wheel is connected to the planetary gear and is at least indirectly connected to the sun wheel. An actuator engages the planetary gear so that the hollow wheel is rotatable relative to the sun wheel. The actuator is disposed tangentially to the planetary gear and includes a worm engaging an outer toothing of the hollow wheel, with the sun wheel being at least indirectly connected to the drive wheel.
