Disinfection lighting device, lamp and luminaire using UV light

A lighting device comprising a light source being configured to generate source light of a white light emission spectrum having a color correlated temperature (CCT) in a range of 2500-20000K and comprising a control unit being configured to control a lighting element for tuning of the source light with respect to a ratio between a first emission peak in a wavelength range of 460-490 nm and a second emission peak in a wavelength range of 430-460 nm. Thus a lighting device with a tunable/adjustable spectrum is provided that can switch between a first operation state of energy efficiency lighting with a blue peak in the second wavelength range of 430-460 nm, but with blue hazard risk, and a second operation state of less efficient but safe, healthy lighting with a biological stimulant having a blue peak in the first wavelength range of 460-490 nm.

An occupancy detection system uses at least two sensors which are mounted spaced apart in an area to be monitored. A test metric is formed which based on a combination of distances for the at least two sensors. Methods and apparatus for adjusting a lighting parameter in a light management system based on user action

The present invention relates to a light-transmissive element () which has light controlling properties. The light-transmissive element () comprises a plurality of first particles () and a plurality of second particles (). The first particles () are configured to control the transmission of light of a first wavelength range being infrared light. The second particles () are configured to control the transmission of light of a second wavelength range being visible light. The first () and second particles () may independently be redistributed in an enclosure () enclosing the particles. Redistribution is enabled by an applied electric field which causes the particles to move in the enclosure (). Thus, transmission of light of the first wavelength range and transmission of light of the second wavelength range is thereby independently controlled by the first () and second particles () respectively.

Controllable light-transmissive element

The invention relates to an arrangement () comprising a lighting system () and a target object (), wherein the lighting system () is arranged to illuminate a target surface of the target object () with a primary light output () and with a secondary light output (). Each of these light outputs has an illumination spectrum representing a color. The two illumination spectra are different, but the two colors are substantially the same. The target surface has a first target surface area and a second target surface area. When the first and second target surface areas are illuminated with the primary light output (), they have a contrast that is lower than when they are illuminated with the secondary light output (). The arrangement of the invention can be used for atmosphere creation or for attracting attention to the target object ().

Arrangement for changing the visual appearance of a target object

A lighting system comprises a light source having an exit window and an electrically controllable light processing arrangement, in the form of a grid of cells lying in a plane parallel to the exit window. Each cell has a cell wall formed as electrically switchable element which is switchable between at least two processing modes. The cell wall surrounds an opening, such that light emitted in a normal direction from the light source exit window is not processed, and light passing at an angle to the normal direction greater than a threshold angle is processed by the cell wall for color and/or intensity control.

Lighting system

A drive method is provided for a display device using the movement of 5 charged particles with a pixel area, with each pixel having first and second drive electrodes () and a pixel electrode (). The method comprises a reset phase to move the particles in each pixel towards the first drive electrode (), a pixel data loading phase, to cause selected particles either to stay in the vicinity of the first drive electrode () or move towards the 10 pixel electrode (), and a drive phase to distribute the particles which have moved towards the pixel electrode over the pixel electrode (). The address phase is line-by-line but can be made short, and the other phases can be carried out in parallel for all pixels, saving time.

In-plane switching display devices

Data, stored in MRAM-cells should be protected against misuse or read-out by unauthorized persons. The present invention provides an array of MRAM-cells provided with a security device for destroying data stored in the MRAM-cells when they are tampered with. This is achieved by placing a permanent magnet adjacent the MRAM-array in combination with a soft-magnetic flux-closing layer. As long as the soft-magnetic layer is present, the magnetic field lines from the permanent magnet are deviated and flow through this soft-magnetic layer. When somebody is tampering with the MRAM-array, e.g. by means of reverse engineering, and the flux-closing layer is removed, the flux is no longer deviated and affects the nearby MRAM-array, thus destroying the data stored in the MRAM-cells.

An electrophoretic display device employs an electrophoretic display () and a display driver (). The present invention provides a method for providing magnetic shielding for a circuit comprising magnetically sensitive materials, comprising actively shielding the circuit from a disturbing magnetic field.
