A device for detecting an orientation and spacing of an X-ray source relative to an X-ray receiver comprises a projector which is disposed at a predetermined orientation and a predetermined spacing relative to the X-ray source, and is configured to project a predetermined pattern of electromagnetic waves in a direction of the X-ray receiver. A detector is configured to detect the predetermined pattern projected by the projector. A positioning detection device, connected to the detector and configured to receive an output signal from the detector, generates a positioning signal as a function the output signal. The positioning signal comprises information about the orientation and spacing of the X-ray source relative to the X-ray receiver.

A modular X-ray diagnostic appliance has as a first module, a base support, as second module, at least one support for the base support, as a third module, at least one component of an X-ray imaging device, as a fourth module, a support device for an object to be examined, and, as a fifth module, a longitudinal carriage which is arranged above the base support and on which the component is mounted. The base support has support-device coupling elements for coupling the support device thereto, support-coupling elements for coupling the support thereto and component-coupling elements for coupling the component thereto. The component-coupling elements have a fixed and/or floating bearing arranged on the base support and connected to the longitudinal carriage. In a method for producing different series of X-ray diagnostic appliances, in which a structurally identical modular base support and a structurally identical modular support device are used for all series.

An apparatus having a stationary part and a movable part, with an electrical conductor running between one or more components on each part, includes a mechanism for winding and unwinding the electrical conductor as the movable part is moved relative to the stationary part. The mechanism includes a rotatable drum onto which, and from which, both the electrical conductor and a cable can be wound or unwound in opposite winding directions. By exerting a tensile force on the conductor, the conductor can be unwound from the drum while the cable is being wound onto the drum. Conversely, the cable can be unwound from the drum while the conductor is being wound onto the drum, given a tensile force on the cable. If both the cable and the conductor are mechanically connected to the movable part, the forces acting on the movable part during winding or unwinding of the conductor balance substantially to zero.

A portable x-ray diagnostics apparatus has a base to which a support for an x-ray tube and an x-ray detector is mounted at a front of the base. A control panel for operating the x-ray apparatus is electrically connected to compnents in the interior of the base by a flexible cable. The length of the cable permits the position of the control panel relative to the base to be selected as being at a rear of the base, or at either side of the base, so that the control panel can be positioned so as to be easily read or reached by a user. The top surface of the base may have recesses therein adapted to receive and releasably hold the control panel in the various positions, or the control panel may be magnetically held on the top surface at a selected position.

Portable x-ray diagnostics apparatus with position-adjustable control

A portable x-ray diagnostics apparatus has a radiation receiver mounted at one end of a height-adjustable column by a support mount. The lower, opposite end of the column is attached to a wheeled base of the apparatus. A height-adjustment mechanism is provided inside the column and the base which permits the height of the x-radiator above the base to be adjusted without an electromotive drive, and such that the force exerted for adjusting the height of the column is substantially the same over the entire adjustment path. For this purpose, one end of a cable is connected at a location inside the lower end of the column, and the cable is guided around various deflection elements, with the opposite end being attached in the base of the apparatus. A weight compensating force is provided by a spring connected to one of the deflection elements, with the spring being horizontally tensed in the base of the apparatus.

An x-ray examination table comprises a table mounted on a pedestal which has a control box containing control elements for the device. The control box is displaceable in a longitudinal direction to the table so that a physician can easily reach the control elements in the control box given examination in the head area of the patient which is opposite to the position of the pedestal.

The invention relates to an X-ray examination apparatus comprising a vertical pillar at which a truck carrying an X-ray system is longitudinally displaceable. The pillar is a closed box profile and includes a U-shaped depression proceeding in longitudinal direction at each of two parallel long sides lying opposite one another, whereby the depressions serve as rails for the truck longitudinally displaceable on the pillar.

The present invention is directed to an X-ray diagnostics installation having control elements for control of specific components of the installation. In order to prevent inadvertent actuation of the elements, an activation switch must be actuated to cause each of the control elements to be effective for a predetermined time. The length of the predetermined time can be increased by actuation of one of the control elements following the actuation of the activation switch.
