In order to be able to dispose the whole of the electrical circuitry of the operating panel ( ) of a cooker top ( ) on a single, single-layer circuit board (even if lined on both sides) of dimensions which do not project beyond the operating panel ( ), there is provided a button selector switch ( ) with which a cooking stage switch ( ) which is also button-actuable can be cyclically successively switched to each of the cooking zones ( ) provided, while the other cooking zones ( ) remain in their current switching condition. Which of the cooking zones ( ) is in operation at the present time and which of them is currently selected by way of the selector switch ( ) can be seen from the optical signalling of miniaturized cooking zone lamps ( ) or digital displays ( ) which are arranged in a manner corresponding to the geometry of the cooking zones ( ). A digital display indicates the currently predetermined cooking stage ( ) for the currently selected cooking zone ( ). In order to avoid separate residual heat lamps ( ), the respective cooking zone lamp ( ) or display ( ) does not yet go out when its cooking zone ( ) is switched off, but goes out only when the associated cooking zone ( ) is cooled down below the residual temperature which is critical in terms of touching it.

Touch-sensitive operating panel for cooking zones

The invention concerns a gas-heated apparatus, in particular a cooking appliance with at least one glass ceramic cooking surface with a gas heating means of conventional configuration and two mutually independent safety paths for monitoring the electronic control device. The one safety path monitors actuation for each consumer while the other safety path monitors the flow of current through said consumer. The control device can be of a particularly simple structure by virtue of being designed in the form of a digital circuit. The consumers to be monitored are the solenoid valves and/or gas burners.

Gas-heated apparatus

A digitally-operating electrical appliance or equipment which is adapted to automatically handle power-supply or line frequencies of 50 Hz or 60 Hz. A full wave of the power-supply frequency is utilized for the generating of a waveform having a pulse referenced thereto. A pulse sequence which is generated independently of the power-supply frequency and is of an essentially higher frequency than the former is counted into a counter, and the content of the counter is thereafter discriminated at a threshold value of about 55 Hz. Depending upon the obtained result, a first signal is generated which is associated with the frequency of 50 Hz, or a second signal is generated which is associated with the frequency of 60 Hz, wherein the signals correspondingly switch a frequency divider to either a dividing ratio of 50:1 or 60:1 such that at the output of the frequency divider, independently of the power-supply frequency, there are generated pulses of a constant frequency for the synchronized power supply of the appliance.

Digitally-operating electrical equipment with counter for automatically

An electronic timepiece or clock with a digital display, and with an arrangement for the setting or adjustment of the minutes and/or hour display through either a short or lengthier depression of a timing push button. A single timing push button is provided on the timepiece for the forward and for the backward setting of the display. The single timing push button also serves for the rapid setting of the display. In this connection, the arrangement for the setting of the minutes and/or hour display provides for a distinction between a short depression of the timing push button (t&lt;t.sub.1) and a lengthier depression of the timing push button (t&gt;t.sub.1).
