A user interacts with a medical imaging system and a medical reporting system to prepare a medical report. The medical reporting system includes report templates for medical reports. The report templates include placeholder fields with unique placeholder designations and metadata. After a user entry in the medical imaging system to select an image dataset, the image dataset and analysis tools are made available to the user. After a user entry in the medical reporting system to select a report template, a report template is made available. Placeholders contained in the selected report template are displayed with corresponding placeholder designations and metadata, automatically sent to the imaging system, and displayed as data requests. According to the data requests displayed, the data corresponding to the data requests is ascertained or determined by the user and assigned to the placeholder designations. A report editor automatically saves the data in the placeholder fields.

Method, apparatus, and computer program product for preparing a medical report

A database contains variants of protocols for the operation of magnetic resonance tomographs as well as different types of magnetic resonance tomographs. Each variant contains parameter values and is associated with one of the types. In a training phase, relationships are determined between the parameters among one another and/or between the parameters and the associated types and are stored as patterns in a knowledge base. A protocol plan for the operation of a new magnetic resonance tomograph is created later in an application phase using the determined pattern. The method offers the advantage that the efficiency and quality of the automatic conversion of the protocols is improved. The improved quality of the protocol plan reduces operating time and costs for a manual post-processing of the protocols. Furthermore, a higher consistency of the protocols among one another is achieved both between product families and between individual configurations.

Method to configure an imaging device

In a method for the implementation of a medical examination via the user interface of at least one imaging device, parameter values in a group of measurement parameters are determined, and are entered via an input device of the user interface. Spatially resolved image information are generated by the at least one imaging device depending on the group of measurement parameters, and the image information is stored on a storage medium. The image information are presented as a data symbol on a screen of the user interface. In order to present the parameters and dependencies to enable a more efficient work process, each measurement parameter of the group of measurement parameters is respectively presented on the screen in a measurement parameter cell of a matrix with multiple rows and multiple columns. The measurement parameters can be contained at least in part in multiple measurement parameter cells. The presentation size of the multiple columns of the matrix depends on their distance from the pointer symbol on the screen.

Method and user interface for implementation of a medical examination

In a method and a device for the implementation of a medical examination via a user interface of at least one imaging device determination and input of a group of measurement parameters take place via an input device of the user interface. Spatially resolved image information are generated with the at least one imaging device depending on the group of measurement parameters. The image information is stored on a storage medium. The image information is presented as data symbols on a screen of the user interface. Multiple data symbols are presented in a predetermined arrangement on the screen for a medical assessment. An interest value is generated for each of the multiple data symbols with enlarged or reduced presentation of data symbols with higher interest value occurring relative to adjacent data symbols with lower interest value, such that the arrangement of the data symbols with lower interest value in n columns and m rows and at their respective size is maintained.

Method and user interface for the graphical presentation of medical data

A method and a user interface for the implementation of a medical examination with at least one imaging device operated by determination and input of a group of measurement parameters via an input device of the user interface, generation of spatially resolved image information with the at least one imaging device depending on the group of measurement parameters, and storage of the image information on a storage medium, presentation of the image information as a data symbol on a screen of the user interface, Multiple data symbols are presented in a predetermined arrangement on the screen for a medical assessment. In order to be able to clearly present all data of a patient that are acquired in imaging methods in an accessible and manipulable manner, the data symbols are arranged on the screen by a control unit depending on at least three display parameters.

Input device to control elements of graphical user interfaces

A method for generation and presentation of medical examination results of at least one imaging device includes the steps of definition and input of measurement parameters via an input device, generation of spatially resolved image information with the at least one imaging device,) and storage of the image information as a respective image file on a storage medium, and selection of presentation parameters to show at least one of the image files depending on the selected presentation parameters. Selection and presentation of medical data acquired with imaging methods are optimized by the presentation parameters being automatically combined into multiple hierarchically organized groups. Each group of unselected presentation parameters is presented as a series of nested rectangles, wherein each presentation parameter corresponds to a rectangle, and each group of selected presentation parameters is presented as a step pyramid, wherein each presentation parameter corresponds to one pyramid level.

Method and user interface to generate and present medical examination results

A system and method may generate a radiological request by which to conduct a radiological procedure that employs a series of procedural steps to acquire internal images of a patient. Each step may have a corresponding protocol item which affects image quality and the time required to complete the step. A database may be maintained that includes protocol items and patient characteristic data. A rule-based algorithm may accept patient characteristic data as input. Based upon one or more patient characteristics, an overall protocol by which to conduct the radiological procedure may be determined. The tailored protocol may include steps that are selected, omitted, and/or altered based upon a patient characteristic. The patient characteristics may be medical restrictions, such as age, pregnancy, allergies, artificial joints, or other limitations. As a result, the protocol items may be automatically selected based upon patient specific characteristics, and/or an anatomical structure to be examined.

Knowledge-based ordering systeming for radiological procedures

In a method, a device and a computer program product for provision of protocols for configuration of a medical apparatus in the framework of a medical examination, the protocols are decentrally generated at a medical apparatus and are relayed to a central radiology information system. From the central RIS server the modified protocol can be relayed to arbitrary further instances via a network. The method employs a consistency mechanism which ensures that a set of protocols remains consistent and uniform given changes of one protocol.
