The invention provides a composition comprising a first ethylene-based polymer, formed by a high pressure, free-radical polymerization process, and a second ethylene-based polymer, formed by a high pressure, free-radical polymerization process, such composition comprising the following properties: a) a melt index (12) from 2.0 to 10 dg/min; b) a density from 0.922 to 0.935 g/cc; and wherein the second ethylene-based polymer is present in an amount from 60 to 95 weight percent, based on the sum of the weight of the first polymer and the second polymer; and wherein the second ethylene-based polymer has a density greater than, or equal to, 0.924 g/cc; and wherein the first ethylene-based polymer has a melt index less than 2.5 dg/min.

The invention provides a composition comprising a first ethylene-based polymer, formed by a high pressure, free-radical polymerization process, and comprising the following properties: a) a Mw(abs) versus I2 relationship: Mw(abs)&#x3c;A&#xd7;[(I2)], where A=5.00&#xd7;10(kg/mole)/(dg/min), and B=&#x2212;0.40; and b) a MS versus I2 relationship: MS&#x2267;C&#xd7;[(I2)], where C=13.5 cN/(dg/min), and D=&#x2212;0.55.

Coated substrates and packages prepared therefrom

The invention provides cross-linked polymeric films, laminates, membranes or other polymeric articles, which show rubber like heat resistance (hot set) and dimensional stability above the polymer melting point, while maintaining heat sealing properties. For example, the invention provides a film comprising at least one layer formed from a composition comprising the following components: A) at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of the following: i) an ethylene-based polymer, ii) an ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin/diene interpolymer, and ii) a C4-C10 olefin-based polymer; B) at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of a propylene/ethylene interpolymer and a propylene/&alpha,- -olefin interpolymer; and wherein the film is crosslinked using radiation and/or chemicals.

Crosslinked films and articles prepared from the same

Methods for extrusion coating a substrate are provided. The methods comprise applying an extrusion coating composition to a surface of a substrate by extrusion coating. In these methods, the extrusion coating composition includes a polyolefin and an inorganic particulate material having an average particle size of no greater than 2 &#x3bc;m and a particle loading of at least 20 weight percent, based on the total weight of polyolefin and the inorganic particulate material.

Noise-reducing extrusion coating compositions

The present invention relates to an ethylene homo or copolymer having a density of between 0.923 and 0.935 g/cm , having a molecular weight distribution M /M of between 3 and 10, and comprising from 0.10 to 0.50 wt. percent of units derived from a carbonyl group containing compound, based on the total weight of the homo or copolymer. In addition, the invention relates to a free radical initiation polymerization process for the preparation of medium density ethylene polymers or copolymers, comprising reacting ethylene and optionally one or more comonomers at a high pressure, conveniently between 1600 and 4000 kg/cm , and at temperatures of about 150-330&deg; C. in a reactor system consisting of at least one autoclave reactor or of a combination of autoclave and tubular reactors, in the presence of free radical initiators and a carbonyl group containing compound. Finally, the invention relates to carbonyl group containing chain transfer agents to obtain improved polymer processing and performance properties in flat die extrusion processes and applications.
