An electrical device, and in particular a switching and controlling device for motor vehicles, has a housing, a printed circuit board arranged in the housing and fitted with electrical components, and, passing through a housing wall, a plug-and-socket connector which has a first part, connected to the printed circuit board and a second part, parallel to a printed-circuit-board surface and capable of fitting together with the first part. The first and second part of the plug-and-socket connector are arranged over the printed-circuit-board surface.

A housing, in particular for electric switchgear and control gear, includes a first housing part and a second housing part to be detachably attached to the former. The housing also includes a lock whose at least one blocking element is movable in a displacement direction from an open position into a closed position by an operating slide connected to it, with the first housing part having at least one element engageable in a recess in the second housing part in the closed position, with a seating face arranged parallel to the displacement direction, and a section of the blocking element being in contact with the seating face on a side of the recess opposite the operating slide.

The circuit board rests on heat-conductive support surfaces formed inside on the package, and the device has a wedge whose bottom wedge side surface rests against the circuit board surface and whose opposite side engages with a bearing surface on the package in order to press the circuit board against the support surfaces.

The invention is based on a unit for a vehicle brake system, having a housing block into which magnet valves and optionally other components to be interconnected electrically are built in. Disclosed is an electromagnetic relay whose armature assembly is protected against jarring impacts. The armature assembly is tiltably supported in a recess stamped out in an end portion of the magnetic yoke of the relay. Lateral inner walls of the recess are formed at their free ends with shoulders for engaging a flat biasing spring of the armature assembly. At least one lateral portion of the magnetic yoke delimiting the recess is formed with a constricted region, for example with a cutout in a corner between an inner wall and the bottom wall of the recess. The constriction permits the bending of the lateral projection into an open condition in which the corresponding shoulder is out of the way during the insertion of the armature assembly into the recess. Upon the insertion, the lateral projection is bent toward the armature until the corresponding shoulder overlaps the armature edge.

To eliminate welded or soldered connections between the fine or thin secondary wire (18, 18a) of an ignition coil and the high-voltage terminal plug, the high-voltage terminal arrangement includes a tubular stub (19) having a conical opening (29) therein, within which the end portion (18a) of the secondary wire can be placed, preferably in form of twisted-together loops (28), and the connection is effected by a screw machine part (30) in form of a conical plug, press-fitted within the conical opening, and making electrical connection with the twisted wire, while being retained securely within the stub (19). After insertion, the plug, the primary and secondary windings, and the core can all be molded or potted by being surrounded with a plastic injection molding or a potting compound. The twisted wire ends can be pre-tinned, and the surface of the plug smooth; or the surface of the plug can be knurled, stippled or ridged to bite through magnet wire insulation.
