A fastening element for fastening a first component, like a circuit board fitted with LEDs, including a pass through opening with a second component, like a lamp element which includes a recess like e.g. a dead hole or a pass through opening, the fastening element including a shaft which includes at least one spring elastic support element which anchors the fastening element at the second component, a shaft head which has a larger diameter than the shaft, wherein the shaft head is arranged at one end of the shaft, a clamping element which clamps the first component against the second component with a defined contact pressure, wherein the clamping element is formed by a spring elastic clamping arm that is displace able in a spring elastic manner and which forms a portion of the shaft head and which contacts the first component.

A lamp socket for supporting a light source provided with an LED, the lamp socket including a cooling element; a socket housing which includes socket contacts for electrically connecting the light source; and a lamp base which supports an LED connected to a heat conducting element and is insertable in the socket housing and includes base contacts which are connectable with the socket contacts through a contact force for providing power to the LED, wherein the cooling element on the socket side is connected with the heat conducting element on the base side with a contact pressure that promotes heat transfer, wherein the contact pressure is provided through a pressing force in order for the cooling element to absorb heat generated by the LED, wherein the electric contact between the socket contacts and the base contacts is provided so that it does not provide forces opposite to the pressing force.

Lamp socket

A bipin fluorescent-lamp holder has a housing formed with an outwardly open housing mouth and a rotor rotatable in the housing adjacent the mouth about an axis and having a diametrally throughgoing rotor slot. The rotor is rotatable between an installation position with the rotor slot aligned with the slot and an angularly offset contact position with the slot not aligned with the mouth. The rotor and housing are so dimensioned as to receive the pins extending parallel to the axis and to move the pins in a circular orbit centered on the axis on rotation of the rotor in the housing, and contacts in the housing diametrally flanking the axis each having a main part lying outside the orbit and a contact part engageable into the orbit. The contacts pins are aligned with the slot and project into ends of the slot and into engagement with the pins only in the contact position of the rotor.

LED lamp socket

A printed circuit board having an upper face provided with contact traces and pads with a light-emitting diode fixed to the board and connected to the traces. A connector juxtaposed is with the pads and carries a contact element having a leg bearing with spring force on one of the pads and formations gripping a hookup wire. At least one fastener engages through the connector and circuit board with a heat-sink base and presses the connector against the circuit board and the circuit board against the base.

A lamp base has a projection that carries lamp contacts and has an outer surface formed with retaining formations arrayed with irregular spacing. A socket forms a recess into which the projection can be inserted with play and apertures provided with contacts engageable with the lamp contacts. Retaining formations in the socket fit with the lamp-base retaining formations in only one defined angular alignment of the lamp base and the socket. The projection has a central plug projecting toward the socket and forming a lamp key coded for a predetermined lamp wattage. The socket has a hole corresponding to the plug and itself forming a socket key coded for the maximally admissible lamp wattage for the socket. The lamp base only fits into the socket when the lamp wattage indicated by the lamp key does not exceed the maximally admissible lamp wattage defined by the socket key.

Keyed socket and lamp base

The invention relates to an assembly of a capped high-pressure discharge lamp () and a lamp holder (). The discharge lamp comprises an outer envelope () in which a discharge vessel () is arranged. The outer envelope has a pinched portion () provided with a clamping member (). A lamp cap comprises a substantially circular-cylindrical cup shaped portion for receiving the clamping member and is provided with a protruding collar (). The lamp holder () comprises a substantially circular-cylindrical flange () for receiving the cup-shaped portion such that the flange engages the protruding collar. An inner diameter of the flange () has a tolerance of less than or equal to &#x2212;0.2 mm. An outer diameter of the cup-shaped portion () has a tolerance of less than or equal to +0.2 mm. The respective tolerances extend over a length of at least 2.5 mm, measured with respect to the protruding collar.

Assembly of a capped high-pressure discharge lamp and a lamp holder

A lamp has a polygonal-section plug part extending along an axis and having at least one radially outwardly directed face formed with a radially outwardly projecting retaining bump. A socket has a core body formed with a polygonal-section socket hole complementary to the plug part and into which the plug part can be fitted axially in an installed position and that substantially completely prevents angular displacement of the plug part relative to the core body in the installed position. A sleeve surrounds the core body and can angularly shift relative thereto between a freeing end position and a blocking end position. The sleeve is formed with a radially inwardly projecting retaining formation that, in the installed position of the plug part, is angularly offset from the bump in the freeing position and that operatively engages and blocks axial displacement of the bump in the blocking position.

The invention relates to a lamp comprising a lamp bulb () and a lamp base (), which lamp base () comprises a projection () located in a substantially central position of the lamp base () and extending in a direction away from the lamp bulb (), at least one lock-engaging portion (), and a substantially flat base surface () opposed to the lamp bulb () and surrounding the projection (), characterized in that the at least one lock-engaging portion () is located on the edge of the base surface () surrounding the projection () remote from the central projection. The invention also relates to a lampholder () for cooperation with the lamp () according the invention, the lampholder () comprising an aperture () in a substantially central position of the lampholder (), at least one counter lock-engaging portion (), and a substantially flat holder surface () surrounding the aperture, characterized in that the at least one counter lock-engaging portion () is located on the edge of the holder surface () surrounding the aperture () remote from the central aperture ().

Lamp and lampholder with peripheral locking means

A socket for a bipin lamp has a relatively stationary body, a pair of contacts in the body symmetrically flanking an axis of the body, and a rotor formed with an axially open and generally diametrally extending slot and pivotal on the body about the axis between an outwardly open position and a crosswise position. Pins of the lamp are insertable into the slot and engageable with the contacts in the crosswise position. An operating part has a disk fixed to the rotor and formed with a slot aligned axially with the rotor slot and an arm fixed on and projecting radially from the disk past the lamp when the pins are in the slots. Thus a user can fit the lamp pins to the slots and pivot the rotor between the positions by the arm to engage the pins with the contacts.
