The subject matter of the present application is thermally-expandable preparations, containing (a) at least one peroxide-crosslinkable polymer, (b) at least one low-molecular, multifunctional acrylate, (c) at least one peroxide and (d) at least two different chemical propellants, the mass ratio of the at least one peroxide to the at least one low-molecular, multifunctional acrylate being at least 1:3.

Thermally hardenable preparations

Multi-layer laminates are provided which contain at least two binder layers and at least two textile-containing layers. One binder layer faces a substrate to be reinforced, with a second binder layer between two textile-containing layers wherein one of the textile-containing layers is interposed between the binder layers. The binder layer facing the substrate has an elasticity modulus when cured which is less than or the same as the elasticity modulus of the second binder layer. The laminates are suitable for reinforcing or stiffening planar substrates, especially thin-walled substrates such as motor vehicle body parts.

Multi-layer reinforcing laminate

A molding is described, the outer edge region of which comprises a thermally expandable material that has a high coefficient of friction in relation to metal or plastic. In its inner region this molding has an aperture and/or recess for receiving a mounting aid. The molding is suitable as a sealing and acoustically active bulkhead part and with the aid of friction forces can be fixed mechanically in the cavity of structural components without these components having to exhibit bores, apertures or other devices for fixing the bulkhead part.

Monoesters of fatty acids containing at least 12 carbon atoms may replace a considerable percentage of conventional plasticizers based on phthalic acid esters, alkyl sulfonic acid esters of phenol or other known plasticizers in plastisol compositions. The methyl and/or ethyl esters of fatty acids of renewable fats and oils, such as tall oil fatty acids, rapeseed oil fatty acids, linseed oil fatty acids or safflower oil fatty acids, are preferably used for these secondary plasticizers. These plastisols are preferably used as adhesives, sealing materials or coatings in automobile construction.
