A front closure for a brassiere which is invisible in the connected state of the front flaps of the brassiere has two closure halves each with a semielliptical plate and one with an annular formation and the other with a lug snap fitted into the annular formation. Outwardly of the annular formation and the lug, the plates form sewing flanges which can be stitched through to attach fastener halves to the brassiere halves, e.g. with a zigzag stitching.

A push and zip wire system of a brassiere has an underwire head forming member on the underside of each cup which can slide into a channel on the respective cup receiving portion of the frame. The channel is formed at its end remote from the mind section of the frame with a strap docking arrangement enabling the shoulder strap to engage the underwire assembly directly.

A method of making snap type hook-and-eye fasteners for garments such as brassieres in which the fabric halves are injection molded on respective tapes, the tapes are covered with brushed fabric which is welded to the tapes along longitudinal welds having gaps in them. The tapes are cut across at the gaps leaving pockets into which parts of the garment can be introduced to secure the tapes on the garments.

A garment fastener, especially for lingerie and swimsuits has elongated loops on each fastener half from the outer bar of which an attachment flange extends. The attachment flange is a sewing flange and/or welding flange and the fabric strip passing through the slot of the loop is stitched and/or welded to the attachment flange.

A link having snap-fitted parts is provided with selected stones having different appearances to render the link highly versatile. The garment link, for brassieres, lingerie and the like, can use a perfume stone with laser-perforated capillaries communicating with a cavity from which scent may be released and which serves to draw a perfume liquid into the cavity.

A garment fastener, especially for brassieres, with a press-button action and configuration, utilizes a pair of circular members welded to the garment and through which the fabric is visible and a circular member attached to the strap and forming a press connection with either of the two circular members attached to the fabric. The members have prongs which are engaged in the fabric of the garment and are welded to the member on the opposite side of the fabric.

A swivel wing underwire for a brassiere is received in a pocket permitting the swivel action to enable the underwire to adjust to breasts of different sizes. The tail of the underwire, however, is held in place with a cup by rows of stitching.

A transparent garment hook has a semicircular bight from which a hook arm and a loop arm extend. Inwardly of this bight there is a reduced thickness web which defines the T section with the bight resisting cracking.

A compound wire assembly is provided by sandwiching a plastic wire between layers of fabric and securing the wire in place by ultrasonically welding the fabric layers together through holes in the wire. The assembly forms an underwire structure for the cup of a brassiere.

A flexible fastener for the backstrap of lingerie or the like garments and especially swimsuits can have soft polyurethane carrier tapes which can be transparent or translucent and have eyelets or press buttons fitted into and ultrasonically welded in holes of the tape. The holes are surrounded by rings engaged by the flanges of the eyelets and press buttons to prevent slipping of the tape around the eyelets or press buttons.
