Equipment for the treatment of a liquid such as a metal melt has one or more rotors ( ) for the supply of gas and/or particulate material to the liquid in a reaction chamber ( ). Metal melt treatment equipment

A device in connection with a rotor ( ) for the treatment of a liquid such as molten metal in a reactor ( ) or similar structure. Gas and/or particulate material is supplied to the liquid, preferably via the rotor shaft ( ) and through openings ( ) from a cavity ( ) in the rotor. A rotor for the treatment of a liquid such as molten metal by the addition of gas and/or particulate material. The rotor includes a hollow rotation body (,) with openings (,) in the base and side. The rotor is mounted on a shaft (,) and driven via the shaft by a drive unit and is designed to be lifted out of and lowered into the liquid. The hollow rotation body (,) is provided, in its cavity, with at least one partition wall (,) or at least one rotationally symmetrical hollow body so that one or more annuli (,) and a central cavity (,) are formed and that the gas and/or particulate material is/are supplied to the annuli (,) and the central cavity (,) via channels (,) and/or holes (,) in the respective partition wall(s) or body(ies).
