The split end removing device () is a removable attachment () for a haircutting machine (). This split end removing device includes first and second parallel hair strand guiding sections () and a third hair strand guiding section () removably positionable in a working position (A) between the first and second sections (). The parallel sections () are formed so that a hair strand () placed under the first and second sections () is grasped from below by the third section () in its working position and the attachment () is held fixed on the haircutting machine () so that only split ends () are cut away from the hair strand. The third hair strand guiding section () is a separate part () that is completely removable from a remaining portion of the device (). It has a handle section (), comb teeth () and a parting tip ().

A split end cutting device () is embodied as an attachment (), which can be detachably connected to a hair cutting machine (), where the attachment () has first and second deflecting sections (), which are disposed parallel to and spaced apart from each other by a distance (X). By means of a hinge (), a third deflecting section () can be moved from a first position (A) passing between the first and second deflecting sections () into a second position (B) parallel to the first and second deflecting sections (), in such a way that a lock of hair () placed underneath the first and second deflecting sections () is engaged from underneath by the third deflecting section () and essentially constitutes an upside down U-shape. A cutting head () with the hair cutting machine () is positioned in a stationary fashion in such a way that when the lock of hair () is pulled through over the deflecting sections (), only the protruding split ends () in an upper region (Y) of the third deflecting section () are cut off by the cutting head ().

The mechanism for operating a rechargeable electrical tool having a rechargeable battery for line-powered operation or for battery-powered operation includes an adapter for electrical connection of a tool portion to a current source; a holder shaped to hold the adapter alone and also the adapter together with the tool portion when the adapter is connected with the tool portion; a device for releasably attaching the tool portion to the adapter; a device for releasably attaching the adapter to the holder; means for detaching the adapter from the holder at least partially located in the adapter and cooperating with the means for releasably attaching the tool portion to the adapter, so that when the adapter is in the holder and when the means for releasably attaching the tool portion to the adapter is actuated to attach the tool portion to the adapter, the means for detaching the adapter detaches the adapter from the holder; and a device for detaching the tool portion from the adapter cooperating with the means for releasably attaching the adapter and the holder, so that, when the adapter is in the holder and when the means for releasably attaching the adapter with the holder is actuated to attach the adapter with the holder, the tool portion is detachable from the adapter.

Adaptor/holder for rechargeable electrical tool

The holder releasably receives and holds a rechargeable tool portion and is associated with a cable electrically connecting the tool portion for line-powered operation or battery-powered operation with a current source. The holder has a shell-like rest enclosing a lower portion of the tool portion and is structured to be changeable from a first configuration, in which the tool portion is supported by the holder and is removable for battery-powered operation, to a second configuration, in which the tool portion with the holder attached can be used for line-powered operation. The holder has a first leg extending longitudinally along a larger part of one side of the tool portion when the tool portion is in the holder, a second leg pivotally connected to one end of the first leg and acting as a supporting limb and a spreading spring connected to the second leg to urge the second leg from the first leg into a spread position so the tool portion and holder can stand together on a surface during battery charging. The second leg is provided with a plurality of catches engagable in cavities in the tool portion when the second leg is engaged with the first leg to form a compact structure together with the tool portion during line-powered operation.

Holder for a rechargeable tool

The plastic clip has two clamping members and two spreadable handles, each of which is connected to one of the clamping members, a pivot bearing and a U-shaped compression spring connected between the ends of the handles. The pivot bearing is structured to be assembled by snapping-together. Advantageously the plastic clip is made with polyoxymethylene. Sensor including temperature sensors may be located in the clamping members. A Contact-Reed can be located in one clamping member and a permanent magnet can be located in another clamping member so that unintended loosening of the clip can be detected. The clip may be designed particularly for use as hair clip for a permanent wave treatment.

The mechanism for the electrical appliance, especially for a hair cutting device, for line voltage or battery-powered operation comprises a tool portion with a rechargeable battery and an adapter, which is easily connected by a cable with a current source and which has means for easy maintenance and for easy connection and disconnection with the tool portion. The electrical appliance may also have a holder for the tool portion in which the tool portion can be held with the adapter connected. The tool portion may be easily detachable from the adapter held in the holder during battery powered operation or alternatively the tool portion with the adapter connected may be easily removed from the holder when the tool portion is energized by the line voltage.

The one-piece plastic clip comprises two clamping members and two spreadable handles, each of which is connected to one of the clamping members, a pivot bearing and a U-shaped compression spring connected between the ends of the handles. The pivot bearing is structured to be assembled by snapping-together. Advantageously the plastic clip is made with polyoxymethylene. Sensors including temperatures sensors may be located in the clamping members. A Contact-Reed can be located in one clamping member and a permanent magnet can be located in another clamping member so that unintended loosening of the clip can be detected. The clip may be structured for use as a cloths pin or a hair clip for use in a permanent wave treatment.
