The invention is directed to a process for preparing a sealant and adhesive useful, e.g., in double glazing systems. The sealant comprises 20-80 weight percent epoxidized natural rubber, 5-30 weight percent of at least one further epoxy compound, and, as a crosslinking agent, a polyamine or polymercaptan carrying trialkoxysilyl groups. The crosslinking agent is incorporated into the epoxidized natural rubber in one step.

Anaerobically curable sealant and adhesive compositions comprising polymerizable acrylate esters or methacrylate esters and a redox system as accelerator are stabilized by the addition of sulfamide derivatives containing the group ##STR1## The stabilization may be further improved by using the sulfamides in combination with phenolic anti-oxidants, particularly sterically hindered phenols, without reducing the curing rate of the compositions.

Anaerobically curable sealant and adhesive composition

A rapid setting .alpha.-cyanoacrylate based adhesive composition having an improved polymerization catalyst therein. The polymerization catalyst is composed of at least one 2 arm pod and compound of the general formula ##STR1##

Cyanoacrylate adhesive composition

A rapid setting .alpha.-cyanoacrylate-based adhesive composition having an improved stabilizer therein. The stabilizer is a sulfamide derivative containing the group ##STR1## Stabilizing may be further improved by using the sulfamides in combination with phenolic anti-oxidants, particularly sterically hindered phenols, without reducing the curing rate of the composition.

A rapid setting .alpha.-cyanoacrylate based adhesive composition having an improved polymerization catalyst therein. The polymerization catalyst is composed of at least one 3-arm or at least one 4-arm podand compound or mixtures thereof of the general formula: ##STR1##
