A refrigeration device capable of chilling beverage ingredients and accessories is disclosed. The refrigeration device may include a first compartment that defines a first open top area, a second compartment that defines a second open top area, and a wall disposed between the first and second compartments. The refrigeration device may further include a controller configured to control the temperature in at least one of the first and second compartments, a temperature regulator configured to adjust a thermal communication between the first and second compartments, and a lid assembly movable between an opened and a closed position.

Systems and methods for a refrigeration device having a lid assembly

A refrigeration system having a container with at least two different temperature cooling zones separated by a divider. The divider has a wall and a partition spaced apart from each other. The partition has a heat transfer plate with a sheet with a heat transfer substance attached thereto. The refrigeration system may be cooled by a variable capacity compressor system having refrigeration and hot-gas defrost modes. The system is defrosted by circulation of gas therethrough. A controller may be engaged to and selectably operate the compressor system.

Refrigeration system and components thereof

An ice maker in which a non-metallic shroud surrounds the metal evaporator plate and has a continuous bulbous edge that engulfs the edges of the plate. The shroud further includes a roof disposed above the plate and slopes toward the front of the plate. The water distributor of the ice maker is mounted on the roof of the shroud.

Domestic clear ice maker

An ice maker in which a non-metallic shroud surronds the metal evaporator plate and has a continuous bulbous edge that engulfs the edges of the plate. The shroud further includes a roof disposed above the plate and slopes toward the front of the plate. The water distributor of the ice maker is mounted on the roof of the shroud.

A refrigerant evaporator has a first heat exchange portion with an uninterrupted surface formed from sheets of conductive material joined together to form passages therebetween. A second heat exchange portion is connected to and adjacent the first portion. The second portion is formed from hollow, serpentine tubes with spine fins. Condensed refrigerant passes through the first portion, which accummulates frost and ice, and then through the second portion. The first portion also includes a labyrinth of passages that define an accumulator for refrigerant that has passed through the second heat exchange portion.
