A clamp is provided, having a slide rail, a fixed arm fastened to the slide rail and on which a first abutment surface for a workpiece is arranged, a sliding arm displaceable on the slide rail, and a housing arrangement, on which are held a first bearing device and a second bearing device, by means of which the housing arrangement is guided on the slide rail. The sliding arm is positioned between the first and second bearing devices. A second abutment surface for a workpiece is arranged on the housing arrangement and faces the first abutment surface. A force application device is held on the sliding arm and acts on a pressure piece held on the housing arrangement. The housing arrangement has a first housing part with a housing interior having an opening. The sliding arm is brought into the housing interior through the opening during production of the clamp.

A device for a clamping tool for applying pressure to a workpiece is provided, comprising a contacting area for a workpiece, a holding head locating space for a holding head of the clamping tool, and at least one locking element for fixing the holding head in the holding head locating space, which said locking element is arranged in a locking element locating space and must be passed through by the holding head, wherein the at least one locking element and the locking element locating space are formed in such a manner that the amount of force required to pass through the at least one locking element in the direction of insertion of the holding head into the holding head locating space is smaller than the amount of force required to pass therethrough in the direction of extraction of the holding head from the holding head locating space.

In order to increase the utility of an arm clamp having a guide rail, on which a fixed transverse arm is seated, having a sliding arm which is displaceable on the guide rail and which can be tilted with the latter, and having a pressure application spindle with a pressure piece, which pressure application spindle is displaceably arranged on the sliding arm so that a compressive force can be exerted on a workpiece between transverse arm and sliding arm, a box-like attachment member is provided for the sliding arm, which provides a substantially flat abutment surface for a workpiece, and is so constructed that it can be pushed on the pressure piece of the sliding arm so that the attachment member is held on the sliding arm and a compressive force can be exerted by the attachment member on a workpiece via the pressure application spindle, and wherein the attachment member comprises at least two mutually spaced guide recesses via which it is displaceably mounted on the guide rail.

In order to improve a clamping and spreading device for the relative movement of two workpieces which have surfaces lying essentially parallel to a common plane, comprising a first holder, to which the first workpiece can be fixed, and a second holder, to which the second workpiece can be fixed, wherein the two holders are movable relative to one another, in such a manner that this can be used in a simple manner comfortable for the operator it is provided for the first holder and the second holder to be connected to one another via a guiding device so as to be displaceable and for the guiding device to comprise an actuating element which is mounted not only on the first holder so as to be movable but is also mounted on the second holder so as to be movable and via which a relative movement of the two holders can be actuated.

In order to provide a clamping device with a clamping rail which is guided for displacement in its longitudinal direction and an actuating device which comprises a gripping element, by means of which the clamping rail can be displaced, which has a great ease of operation it is suggested that a first contact element and second contact element be held on the clamping rail, that the clamping rail be displaceable in relation to the first contact element and that the first contact element be rotatable relative to the actuating device.
