A disengaging mechanism for a friction clutch which is arranged in a motor vehicle between an internal combustion engine and a transmission flanged to the internal combustion engine by a casing. The disengaging mechanism includes a guide pipe which is fastenable in the casing. A release bearing element is guided radially at the outer circumference of the guide pipe so as to be axially movable. The disengaging mechanism also includes a clutch lever which is to be articulated at the casing for transmitting clutch actuating forces. At least the guide pipe and the clutch lever are held together to form a constructional unit prior to installation in the motor vehicle. In the operation-ready state, the movement limiting components influence the movability of the disengaging mechanism. Assembly is facilitated by constructing the disengaging mechanism as a constructional unit, which can also contain the release bearing element.

A friction clutch which has a release bearing and a release element with a snap connection, whereby a bias spring device is provided which is pre-installed in a separate groove in the encircling bearing ring.

The invention relates to a fluid-actuable releaser in which an annular piston (6) is guided in a casing (3) which is provided with a sleeve (10) for guiding the annular piston (6) radially internally and for sealing purposes, the sleeve (10) being axially fixed by partial plastic deformation after insertion into the casing (3) with its external diameter in a bore (16) in the casing (3).

Fluid-actuable releaser for a friction clutch

The invention relates to a hydraulically actuable releaser with an annular piston. The supporting ring co-operating with the annular piston and the groove sealing ring co-operating with the supporting ring have, at least in their radially outer region facing one another, an encircling supporting shoulder on the supporting ring and an encircling recess on the groove sealing ring. This measure prevents the groove sealing ring from being pressed into a possible gap between supporting ring and the external wall of the housing under pressure loading.

Hydraulically actuable releaser for a motor vehicle friction clutch

A slave cylinder of the annular cylinder type is proposed, whereof the annular piston (45) able to slide axially between an outer cylinder wall (29) and an inner cylinder wall (33) is sealed by a grooved sealing ring (53) with respect to the pressure chamber (37). In order to be able to evacuate by means of a suction pump a hydraulic actuating system for a motor vehicle friction clutch, constructed using a slave cylinder of this type, before filling with hydraulic fluid, means are provided on the annular cylinder or in addition to the sealing lips (57) on the grooved sealing ring, which increase the sealing action of the sealing lips (57) when applying a vacuum to the hydraulic pressure chamber (37). The said means may be conical surfaces (61, 63) on the cylinder walls or a conical ring engaging in an annular groove (59) of the sealing ring (53). Additional sealing beads having a cross-sectional contour in the shape of a circular sector may be formed if necessary on the grooved sealing ring.

Slave cylinder for a hydraulic actuating system of a motor vehicle

A pulled-type motor vehicle clutch to be used between a combustion engine and a gear box comprises a clutch release ring, axial movement of which results in releasing or opening the clutch. A clutch release sleeve is insertable into the clutch release ring and is connectable to the clutch release ring by a wire clip. The wire clip has a circular basic wire ring and two end portions. The wire ring extends over nearly 360.degree.. A gap is defined between the ends of the circular basic wire ring. The end portions are adjoined to the ends of the circular basic wire ring. These end portions can be engaged by hand or by a tool for widening the circular basic wire ring. The end portions cross each other. The gripping faces are directed in opposite circumferential directions away from each other such that mutually approaching said gripping faces results in widening the circular basic wire ring. By widening the circular basic wire ring the connection between the clutch release ring and the clutch release sleeve is interrupted.

Pulled-type motor vehicle clutch

The hydraulically operable clutch release for a motor vehicle friction clutch comprises a housing part (3) of substantially ring form and an annular piston (9) guided displaceably in sealed manner in the direction of the ring axis on the housing part (3). The annular piston (9) together with the housing part (3) forms an annular hydraulic pressure chamber (15) and comprises a stop face (29) facing axially away from the pressure chamber (15). A release bearing (19) guided both axially and radially movably on the annular piston (9) has a non-rotating race ring (23) supportable radially movably on the stop face (29) of the annular piston and a rotating race ring (21) constantly abutting in radially movable manner on a release device (37) of the friction clutch. Between the housing part (3) and the annular piston (9) there is compressed an axially acting compression spring (31) for the permanent supporting of the rotating race ring (21) on the release device (37). Between the non-rotating race ring (23) and the annular piston (9) there is supported a spring (33) which holds the stop face (29) of the annular piston (9) at a distance from the non-rotating race ring (23) against the action of the compression spring (31) when the pressure chamber (15) is relieved of pressure for the engagement of the friction clutch. The spring (33) is so dimensioned that when the pressure chamber (15) is charged with pressure for the release of the friction clutch it permits supporting of the stop face (29) on the non-rotating race ring (23).

Hydraulically operated clutch release bearing

A clutch mechanism particularly suited for motor vehicles is structured to include a roller bearing assembly which is composed of a rotary member, a stationary or nonrotative member and roller bodies operatively interposed therebetween. Clutch actuation is effected by axial movement of the roller bearing assembly in order to bring the rotating member into position relative to the clutch releasing mechanism. The roller bearing assembly is mounted on a guide element which includes a clutch control device and an annular connecting member is interposed between the guide element and the stationary member of the roller bearing assembly in order to transmit clutch actuating forces therebetween. The connecting member is configured to maintain the guide element and the stationary member rotatively fixed relative to each other while allowing free radial movement therebetween. The connecting member is particularly formed to include first and second portions which are radially and circumferentially displaced relative to each other about the annular connecting member, with the first portions being in fixed rotative engagement with the guide element and with the second portions being in fixed rotative engagement with the stationary member of the roller bearing assembly.
