A system for fastening a tension rod of a grain tank of an agricultural vehicle to a frame of the agricultural vehicle to which the grain tank is mounted. The tension rod includes an elongated body extending between a first connection end that is configured to be connected either directly or indirectly to the grain tank, and a second connection end including openings for respectively receiving fasteners. A first member is either configured to be mounted to the frame or associated with the frame. The first member includes (i) openings for respectively receiving the fasteners, and (ii) a first non-planar mounting surface. A second member includes (i) openings for respectively receiving the fasteners and (ii) a second non-planar mounting surface that is configured to be directly engaged with the first non-planar mounting surface to limit relative motion between the tension rod and the frame in an assembled state.

Grain tank reinforcement for agricultural vehicle

A crop unloader system comprising: an elevator assembly, a boom assembly, a flexible drive, and a tensioning assembly. The elevator assembly has a frame, an elevator drive and drive motor, and an elevator drive output. The boom assembly has a frame connected to the elevator frame at a boom pivot axis to rotate through a range of motion, and an unloader drive input. The flexible drive is operatively connected between the elevator drive output and the unloader drive input. The tensioning assembly has a tensioner link and a control link that are pivotally to each other and with one of the two links each pivotally connected to one of the boom and elevator frame. An idler wheel is on the tensioner link. The tensioning assembly maintains a tension load on the endless flexible drive within a predetermined range, throughout the range of motion of the boom frame.

Included is a combine having a feeder housing for receiving harvested crop, a separating system for threshing the harvested crop to separate grain from residue, a crop cleaning system including a cleaning fan powered by a fan drive to propel the residue into a residue system of the combine, at least one sensor for detecting an operational parameter of the fan drive, and a controller coupled to the at least one sensor. The controller is configured to determine a load on the fan drive from the detected operational parameter, compare the determined load to a load threshold, and control a speed of the cleaning fan based on the comparison.

A cleaning system for a combine harvester having an adjustable throwing angle is provided. The cleaning system includes a shoe for holding a sieve of the cleaning system, a mounting surface disposed on the shoe, and a rocker arm either movably or removably connected to the mounting surface. The rocker arm is configured to be mounted to the mounting surface at at least two different locations on the mounting surface. Each location resulting in a different throwing angle of the shoe of the cleaning system.

A crop unloader having a frame, an unloader tube mounted to the frame, a driven gear fixed to the unloader tube and having driven teeth extending radially from a first axis, a drive gear mounted to the frame and having drive teeth extending radially from a second axis and extending to mesh at an engagement location with the driven teeth during rotation of the drive gear about the second axis, and a motor operable to rotate the drive gear to rotate the driven gear to move the unloader tube between a first position about the first axis and a second position about the first axis. The teeth form a tapered gap at the engagement location, the tapered gap extending from an upper end to a lower end and being larger at the lower end than at the upper end. An agricultural combine having the crop unloader is also provided.

An agricultural harvester includes a chassis; a threshing and separating system carried by the chassis and including at least one threshing rotor mounted in a longitudinal direction of the agricultural harvester; a grain pan carried by the chassis that receives crop material from the threshing and separating system, the grain pan being configured to shake in a fore-to-aft direction and a lateral direction; and a cleaning system carried by the chassis supplied with crop material from the grain pan, the cleaning system including at least one sieve configured to shake in the lateral direction out of phase with the grain pan.

A system for unloading a grain storage tank of a combine harvester includes a conduit that is sized to extend into an interior region of the grain storage tank. The conduit defines an interior space that is sized to receive an auger that is configured to remove the grain from the grain storage tank. The conduit further defines an opening for receiving grain from the interior region of the grain storage tank. A panel is positioned adjacent the opening in the conduit. The panel is movable between a first position in which the panel at least partially conceals the opening to meter the entrance of grain through the opening, and a second position in which the panel does not conceal the opening to freely permit the entrance of grain through the opening and into the conduit.

A fan assembly for a cleaning system of a combine harvester includes a housing having a plurality of interconnected walls. The interconnected walls include at least two side walls and a lower wall connecting the two side walls, and at least one partition positioned between the side walls. The partition promotes uniform air flow across a width dimension of the fan assembly. The interconnected walls define at least one inlet opening through which air is delivered into the housing and at least one outlet opening through which air is exhausted from the housing. A fan rotor is mounted to the housing and is configured to rotate to distribute air from the inlet opening to the outlet opening.

The sieve assembly is driven in fore and aft oscillation by an eccentric rotation device while permitting side to side movement. The auger trough has a first portion on a first side of the bottom and a second portion on a second side opposite the first side of the bottom, with the second portion of the auger trough having an end directed toward the first portion in a direction of the sweeping path.

The grain conveyor includes a grain elevator, a transition chamber and an auger assembly. The grain elevator has an inlet for receiving a flow of grain. The transition chamber outlet has an asymmetric non-circular opening larger than the non-cylindrical opening of the transition chamber inlet. The auger assembly is operatively connected to the transition chamber and includes an inlet for receiving a flow of grain and an outlet in fluid communication with the transition chamber inlet.

The transition chamber outlet has an asymmetric non-circular opening larger than the non-circular opening of the transition chamber inlet. A method of controlling a conveyance rate of grain of an unloader system, including providing a grain holding device and an unloader in communication with the grain holding device, the unloader having an inlet for receiving grain from the grain holding device and an outlet for discharging grain. An apparatus within the grain holding device is operable for controllably feeding grain within the grain holding device to the unloader. The method includes monitoring a parameter associated with a power source of the apparatus, and comparing the parameter of the power source to a maximum predetermined threshold value. The method includes automatically controlling the conveyance rate of grain of the apparatus to the unloader.

A method of clearing a grain cleaning system of an agricultural combine is provided. The method includes the step of providing and directing a flow of high velocity air in a first direction about an inlet end of a cleaning shoe. The method further includes the step of monitoring the cleaning shoe in order to detect a change in an operational parameter of the cleaning shoe, wherein the operational parameter is one of a transient effect of a sieve of the cleaning shoe, a flow rate about and exit end of the cleaning shoe and a flow velocity about an exit end of the cleaning shoe. Further, the method includes the step of redirecting the flow of high velocity air about the inlet end of the cleaning shoe in a second direction in response to a detected change in the operational parameter.

A grain cleaning system of an agricultural combine directs a flow of high velocity air in a first direction about an inlet end of a cleaning shoe. The system further monitors the cleaning shoe in order to detect a change in an operational parameter of the cleaning shoe, wherein the operational parameter is one of a transient effect of a sieve of the cleaning shoe, a flow rate about and exit end of the cleaning shoe and a flow velocity about an exit end of the cleaning shoe. Further, the flow of high velocity air about the inlet end of the cleaning shoe can be redirected in a second direction in response to a detected change in the operational parameter.
